Imagine the first training match if he came, Ramos on one team, Dier on the other. Ouch, payback time ?

Didn't know where to post this as he could be about anyone or doing some word play as Mourinho loves 7ft+ CB's but this guy's usually an aggregator of news so no idea where he's got this confidence from

Very big as in big name, or very big as in the South Koran international defender Kim Min-jae

Yup, exactly this.

Can guarantee a minimum of 3 red cards per season, but he’s also a double hard bastard on a level we’ve not experienced in our squad in the PL era.

An absolute shit house, who everybody hates.

What a signing he’d be.
I’ll raise you with Naybet!

Don't think so. Far as I'm aware he's always been a news aggregator; this is the first time he's passed off information as his own. might be wrong, though

Considering Ramos and Mourinho clearly fell out at Real Madrid this would be an odd one.

On Ramos himself, still shows up at the important moments, but is a bit inconsistent these days, not the player he was. Would still be an influential figure I imagine.

He carries the defense, he was injured for 5 matches earlier in the season, real lost against Shakhtar and Alaves, and drew against Villareal in that time. And he missed a game and a half at the beginning of the season, and they lost to Shakhtar and Cadiz. They've only lost once when he hasn't played, the results speak for themselves, they are significantly better with him.

Yeah and they lost to Valencia (4-1) The bad form came with and without him. He started the cadiz game btw, and they were losing when he went off. That counts as playing. They've lost twice with him playing in the league, they've only lost 3 times in the league. So it's not that different. Particularly as the first shakhtar game was a heavily rotated side of a team more focused on the Barca game on the weekend.

The thing is, he isn't a bad defender, though suggesting his injury is the reason for Real Madrid's bad form, is simplistic. Or for their return to some sort of form for that matter. Real Madrid as a team are inconsistent, not just Ramos, and they have been for quite some time now. The saving grace of the team is they seem to get it together when push comes to shove. Sort of like Ramos himself. Ramos, not just this season, for a long time now, has been error-prone and often his issues are covered up by his very good one on one defending and eye-catching defending blocks and tackles etc. While maybe the bread and butter stuff hasn't quite been of the highest level.

He's useful, but he could get exposed out of real Madrid, in a new place and without the history and whatnot, I mean do people remember what happened to Rio Ferdinand at QPR? That was Ferdinand at 36. But Ramos will be 35 come the end of the season, he's not got much at the top level left in him. If we were to sign him, I think he'd probably be useful, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was a complete flop.

He's still a good player, just not the player he once was. Which is what you'd expect from his age. People tend to take a while to catch up to football realities, you had people like that in regards to Bale (who I still believe might be useful for us, but some of the expectation was clearly overblown) or other players as well. I mean Ronaldo is still being rated by journalists as a top 3 player in the world, even though he isn't even the best player in Juventus for the last year or so.

Fundamentally, Ramos still offers a lot for Real Madrid, particularly when things matter, the big games or the big moments, he also has periods where, honestly, you think he's forgotten how to defend. He's always been hot-headed and a little error-prone, but he is declining and has been for at least two years now, and from a transfer perspective you have to judge on the now. You can throw misleading 'results' or you like, that does not show the level of his performances, and frankly, you can spin it in whatever way you like.

Ronaldo is obscenely underrated because of a poor 6 months in late 2019. All the kids on Twitter love to jump on a bandwagon and make out he’s finished - the bloke got 41 goals in 39 games for Juventus in 2020. Maybe you don’t like him, but let’s not pretend he’s not a phenomenal player. The same applies to Ramos. Clearly as all-round players both have dipped from their prime due to age, but they’re both still incredible players. If there was even a chance of Spurs getting Ramos (which is very unlikely) we should do all we can to make it happen.
