They've taken the FA cup games off Sky and they have all the home nations away WC qualifiers. They will also have the UEFA cup in two seasons time. But we'll be in the champion's league by then...

And if you like men fighting, they've got loads of boxing and the UFC.

Although they've got all this, you can go for days/weeks before there's a match you want to see!

Ah fairy muff... but that doesn't really make a difference to me cos I have Sky... Sky won't reduce their price by £3 cos they've lost them

The UFC and Boxing is good... altho UFC is a tad gay... also they've got really good coverage of the NRL which is handy cos i've got an Oz mate

Meh, I probably about break even with my Sports packages (beer tax!) so all is good

Setanta Sports - 30% increase!
The monthly sub has increased from £9.99 per month to £12.99 per month!

I calculate that £9.99 is approximately 76% of £12.99 which means you are only being asked to pay 24% more rather than 30%.

Hopefully that makes you feel a little better :)

You have to be very careful when you try to cancel with Setanta. I cancelled my DD with them and sent them the required letter and thought that would be it. A couple of months down the line, I realised I was still getting the Setanta package and thought they had just screwed up. Checked my bank statement and although I had cancel my initial DD, they had re-instated it the next month with a different reference number, so instead of the bank returning their request unpaid, they assumed it was a new DD and paid them the funds anyway!

Obviously, I complained to my bank about it but they didnt care, so complained to Setanta and they said they'd never received the letter and they were just taking the money they were owed!!!!! !!!!

So told them I wanted to cancel and again cancelled the DD. Low and behold, the next month they applied for DD with a new reference and pulled the same trick off again!!!

Rang them a second time and really lost my rag with them over the phone, and this time they agreed to cancel my contract there and then.

So, I got there in the end, but ending up paying for 3 months of subs. that I didnt want. Like I said, be very careful and keep an eye on your bank statements after you supposedly cancel!

i threatened to cancel so they reduced the subscription to 4.99
same here but definitely try the 0191 number above. I tried the 0870 number they give out and was holding on for ages for the 'cancellation dept' but tried the 0191 number and got through straight away

There's a site that also shows Setanta on freeview, although I probably can't post it here so PM me and I'll let you know.

If you phone up to cancel they will offer you three months at £5 per month. Then three months down the line do the same again. Its has worked for me for all of last season.
