Sh*t home support

Atmosphere versus WBA was very flat, but has been this way for many years now. The majority of our season ticket holders are middle aged men who just turn up and sit there, expecting to be entertained. Well, its not good enough, especially in matches such as today versus the Baggies, when the team needed encouragement. There is nothing for teams to fear when coming to the Lane, they can expect an easy afternoon. If the atmosphere continues to be flat, then Spurs will be in the bottom half of the table, because the current squad is very average. But the home support have no right to complain at players performances if they themselves do not contribute anything to the match - If you're not going to get behind the team then give your ticket to someone with more entusiasm - in other words F*CK OFF!

Avb started it and even when things were good under sherwood it was still tame because he was English. Now we have pooch and it's like avb again.

I'm sure the Liverpool game they were no songs until the second half, I think people just fed up we spent £100m and have nothing to show for it.

Maybe it should be part of the requirements to get a season ticket is that you have to be able to shout above a certain level of decibels?

Yes the home support has been shit but it's the shit they've been served up for the last 3 years that's to blame. That and every time the renewal form hits the doormat and they realise what they are paying for.

Honestly, when was the last time spurs really made you feel proud? When was the last time they failed to disappoint you when it really mattered?

The atmosphere is shit because the team is shit.

We pay £40-70 a game to watch dreary football and get beat by fucking garbage like west fucking brom.

Would you expect people to be up beat at a funeral? No.

the fans can't relate to this team, no indentity, no continuity and no personality. that said, it's not much better anywhere else(in the pl at least), that's just how it is nowadays.

Can't really disagree with any posts here tbh. Even the most ardent and loyal fan would be inclined to boo. We are starved of success for perceived problems that could have been easily rectified by a little ambition. It is not right to boo your team, though I would suggest that a lot of fans anger and frustration is probably aimed at Levy and ENIC. My biggest problem with ENIC and Levy is their lack of voice in what is really going on at the club.

City go a goal and a player down, sing up and get an equaliser.
Say what you want about their money but they have proper fans

EDIT; I guess the 'doh' rating proves my point that some of our fans don't get it.

City had shots on target
City look like they want to win
City went down to ten men and still looked like the better team

My biggest qualm with Spurs is the fans, more than any player or manager we've ever had. They are the real bunch of "useless ****s".

Completely agree with original poster. Was at the game today, first home league game i've been to this year, and it was just a toxic. That atmosphere spills on to the pitch and clearly affects the players. You're there to SUPPORT the players, even if they're playing cack. There was no signing where I was sat (west upper), just lots of middle aged men moaning and hissing. It's noticeable how much better the atmosphere is in cup games when the old-farts with season tickets aren't all there. Another reason why the new stadium is so important, bring 15,000 new fans in hopefully to freshen up the support.

Ha ha! 15k new fans will make it worse of course. If we can't crank it up in a 36k stadium how do you thing it's going to go in a 55k stadium? Witness highbury v emirates
