I heard Usmanov has turned his attention to our beloved Spurs and has been buying shares. Presumably the arse have once again told him to sod off and he has had enough.

Whatever happens I hope Levy stays at the helm for at least another 5 years. I can't however see that happening unless he still has a significant stake and executive control.

Debt financing for our stadium will be difficult / expensive in the current market climate (tight credit + weak property market). We cannot afford to wait any longer, so perhaps someone like Usmanov is the only answer.

After a few more rollovers and me winning the euro millions I'll help finance the stadium :)

There's nothing major being reported about the increase in price. It is interesting to note that THFC have been buying back shares over the past three months, although not in massive amounts.
I think there is a general feel good factor that is driving the price higher, plus, THFC are considered an excellent football share to own, even at £1.60.
The dividend has been good and the share price has increased from 83p during the past year, so a good investment when compared to any trading organisation over the past 12 months.

More than likely due to the fact we have just won a cup and are in a good position to win another.

The thought of some Eastern-European billionare buying Spurs does not fill me with anything other than dread.

At least the Americans have enough sense to let their people do their jobs and not get involved in team selection.

good news for shareholders - and hopefully all spurs fans as it probably indicates our basic profitability - and maybe will encourage further investment in the club - eg for the new stadium

Thanks guys.

Considering our potential, our profits and our profile that still seems a bit of a snip in today's market, which would explain, I suppose, our ever rising share-price.

According to the LSE website

http://www.londonstockexchange.com/...ices.htm?sym=GB0008962986GBGBXAIM 0896298TTNM

our market cap 30th June 2007 was £106.97mln with the share price at 115.50 pence. According to my calculations that means there are ca. 92,614,718 million shares out there.

Given the current share price of 181.50, I would estimate our market cap somewhere in the region of £170 million.

I think Levy is holding out for way more than that. £200-250 methinks.

I suspect it will take a lot more than that for Levy to sell up.

Increasing capacity to 50-60k without incurring too much debt is crucial now. As I said before given the tight lending conditions , the weakening property market, the poor infrastructure around WHL and an incompetent local council this remains a major issue. I hope Levy stays for a least another 5 years as I believe he is capable of getting a result.

Dare I say it, but many of the problems we have now are due to Sugar's lack of vision and management skills when he was in control.
