Amazing player, that partnership with Teddy under El Tel was the best forward line I’ve ever seen for England.Shearer was a great player but unfortunately a total bellend of a pundit.
Linekar and Beardsley where better in my opinionAmazing player, that partnership with Teddy under El Tel was the best forward line I’ve ever seen for England.
I'm struggling to see anything remotely controversial about Shearer's comments. In fact, he's right - if not this time, then the same applies in 4 years.
Kane scores prolifically in domestic football. Now he has to find out how to do the same against Brazil, Germany, Spain and Argentina. It's part of his development. Which is what Shearer is saying, having had the experience upon which he can base his comments, unlike all the knee-jerk respondents on this thread.
And anyone who think Shearer never brought it in a tournament obviously didn't see the 1996 WC, specifically the 4-1 win against Holland. Gascoigne, Anderton and Sheringham played in that game too.
And W is right next to E :-?96 was a Euros in England but yes
Let’s hope he’s not lumbered with corner dutyThe point he is making is actually valid, Kane was not good in the last tournament for England and hes saying he needs to show hes better than that
