Sorry.

But it bears repeating.

Oh no mate, I wasn't meaning you repeated what I put. Sorry if you thought that .. Nah, I meant it from the viewpoint of, 2 different people, 1 an ex player, the other a supporter, both saying the exact same thing. Not that we needed to hear it, we've had over a decade of watching Moyes' anti-football tactics, and ignoring of creative/flair players. He's a workhorse type manager, nowhere near suited to the much heralded 'Tottenham Way' whatever that is!!

Moyes for me.

I actually believe it would be good to get him - whilst I appreciate it will most likely be an unpopular choice, I'm of the opinion that any manager we get will be unpopular by the masses, so it doesn't matter.

What he did at Everton was brilliant.

What he started with at United, was shocking, always going to be shit for a while as he had a ropey team to manage.

Given that we are quite similiar to Everton - no money, crappy wages, he could actually do well, provided he is given the time to do what he needs to.

But, we don't like giving people time, do we?

LVG would be popular with the majority of fans I would have thought. FDB as well.

Other than that I think you're right. Moyes, Pottechino, Tuchel, Tim and any other candidate we'll line up will probably divide opinion

Really? Apart from the £10mil on Bilyaletdinov, there's the

£6mil on James Beattie
£8.6mil on Andy Johnson
£5mil on Per Kroldrup
£4mil on Richard Wright
£11.25mil on Yakubu
£6mil on Jelavic
£4.5mil on Pienaar (after selling for less than half that 12 months previously)
£3mil on Linderoth
£2mil on Darren Gibson

This misguided idea that Moyes did brilliantly at Everton, that he had little money to spend etc etc etc, it's nonsense, in my opinion.

Anyone who is not sure whether they'd like him as our next manager, maybe take the time to read this. http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-fans/an-open-letter-to-david-moyes/
I think if you look at any manager's transfer record there are going to be some that didn't work out - Fergie and Wenger had plenty of misses too.

Some of those are harsh too. Yakubu did alright, Pienaar ran down his contract hence the price, the likes of Gibson cos you need a squad.

Its hilarious that Sherwood cant even beat Moyes in a poll. I mean the football isn't great but its not the worst our team has ever played but he just can't shut his mouth and its embarrassing.

There is also something about his face and this shows how I feel

Everton made £86m in 12/13, we made £172m. We are a very long way above Everton in the money stakes, the question is why the Hell aren't we in the footballing ones?

Want neither anywhere near our club. But anyone who would rather have Sherwood over Moyes is surely trolling. Aren't they?...

I can't believe Levy is serious about taking another failure as our manager after the AVB experience, this must be some weird Jedi mind trick to confuse Manu into letting us get LvG.

I meant in terms of not splashing the cash, having to make money to buy kinda thing.

i'd genuinely quit supporting spurs if we appointed david moyes.

ok, i probably wouldn't, but i'd give it a damn good go.

Loved this post from Redcafe:

  1. I'd be surprised if he gets a job as big as Tottenham next season considering they'll probably finish ahead of us this season. Fair play to him though if he can take us to 7th and get hired by a team above us.

No one is perfect. In the past dozen years, the best manager in terms of giving us quality, attractive football and outstanding results (considering our financial resources in relations to the top clubs) was Harry. But he was a self-promoter who at a crucial stage seemed more interested in being the England manager than getting us results. Then he was gone. Both Moyes and Sherwood have their good points and bad. If we have Moyes, the players would have to adapt to a new style and attitude. With Sherwood, they now have an idea of how he wants to play. If Sherwood can get the best of Soldado and Lamela the way he did with Ade, then I'm in favour of Sherwood, for at least one more season to see how things work out. This sacking and hiring is not doing the club any good.

i dont know but on league form you have to say Sherwood has done better

Up until Tim Sherwood took charge of his first game -

Tottenham Hotspur - played 16 - won 8, drawn 3, lost 5 - scored 15, conceded 21 - 27 points
Manchester United - played 17 - won 8, drawn 4, lost 5 - scored 28, conceded 20 - 28 points
The table today...
Tottenham Hotspur - played 35 - won 19, drawn 6, lost 10 - scored 51, conceded 49 - 63 points
Manchester United - played 34 - won 17, drawn 6, lost 11 - scored 56, conceded 40 - 57 points
