It seems that every Arsenal player/coach/scout/whatever that comes to us, doesn't work out.. So should we stop trying to recruit them?
Obviously O'Hara has done ok for us, not set the world alight tho, but the two others I'm talking about, really haven't worked out..
Commolli just confuses the hell out of me. Why he was in charge of signings still gives me nightmares.. Ok, he had some good players, but honestly, in general his deals were more often poor decisions rather than good ones. He left us very weak, which was the very thing Santini/Jol and Arnesen were trying to erase from Spurs, that had been a problem for far too long. He also seems to have been ready to let players like Carrick (no new contract offer for a great seasons work) and Berbatov leave, without ever rally replacing them.
And then there's Bentley: well, I was never sure about him, especially at 15million, but I wanted him to come good. Again its not worked.. I'll leave that one there..
Do you think its due to us fans being eager to get on their backs??
Or do you think that if Wenger let them go, we shouldn't be looking at them ourselves? If he's ready to let them leave, as much as it hurts to say it, I think he knows a thing or two about football, and has probably made the right decision.
Its just something me and my mates were discussing after the final yesterday and I thought i'd get some more opinions.
