Moaning that the ref gave them no decisions.

moaning that Wolves used their squad against Man Utd.

Claiming that Catalunya is a region of Spain and that he isnt going to let Fabregas play vs Argentina even though Johan Cruyff named him in the squad. If Catalunya is a region of Spain, arsenil is a football club from France.

I said they were rubbish away from home. yet again proved right. If spurs can start being somewhat more consistant we will finish ahead of them

He's right about the Wolves comment, it was terrible for the game that they went to play man utd and changed every player except the keeper after our game pretty much giving man utd the three points, it's not in the spirit of the game imo,

I can't believe i just agreed with that **** on one thingEek.

How exactly did the team Wolves fielded last night affect Burnley v Arsenal?

Burnley had a perfectly fine goal ruled out for offside, he should be thanking his lucky stars that they got that call wrong.

its pretty insensitive to say Catalunya is a region of Spain and not its own country as well, I am sure Fabregas doesnt agree with his manager either

Wenger comes form Alsace.

That's why he gets confused about national identities.

Catalonia isn't a recognised Country, as much as you want it to be.

I see Catalans turning out for the Spain national team every game. Are they not Spanish? of course they are.

Only saw MOTD highlights of their game last night, but by the looks of it they were pretty lucky to get away with a point.

He can never, ever give credit to any other team but his though. Thought Burnley looked really good last night from what I saw, and the offside decision, well, another decision goes the way of the big four.

Walnutt bagged himself a 5/10 and came off after 60 mins. All Wenger is doing is deflecting the fact that Woolwich drew with Burnley.

I don't agree with you there.. Every manager is under soo much pressure to stay in the league, the likelihood for Wolves is that they go to Old Trafford, exert themselves to the fullest and still end up getting battered by Man Utd. There was a full fixture list this week so Wolves will effectively be the only team who are rested for this weekend.

Also, Arsene Wenger can't moan about fielding second string teams... he practically invented the art for the Carling Cup.

It's never been a recognised country. There was a County of Barcelona in the early medieval period which became part of Aragon. S&B's history is as dodgy as his football.

Wenger's already had one key player crocked in a Mickey Mouse friendly, so it's pretty understandable that he doesn't want to risk another one in a fixture that doesn't even qualify as Mickey Mouse.

never recognised as a country????? 1300's it definetly was, as was a repbulic in 1930's. I wasnt trying to debate this. was debating that he should be allowed to play(especially as EU has recognized Catalunyas right to be a country),the fact Catalunya only plays 2 games a year, the fact it is Cruyff calling for him etc.

Wenger has no right to discuss politics which he has no clue what he is talking about.

The point is, Catalonia is a fictional place, just like Scotland!

Just as well you're not trying to debate it, because it's not a matter of debate, it's a matter of fact: there's an area where Catalan is spoken, but no separate political entity called Catalonia. Part of it's in France anyway. In the 1300s the Spanish bit was part of Aragon, and remained so until the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella. A short-lived republic in the 1930s hardly counts. And exactly when did the EU recognise Catalunya's right to be a country? The Catalan language currently has semi-official status within the EU, and that's as far as it goes.

Wenger doesn't have a clue what he's talking about?

I wouldn't want a key Spurs player risking injury in a totally meaningless fixture like this, and I'm pretty sure 99% of Spurs fans will feel the same. Why should Arsenal be different?

It doesn't matter if it was a country back in the 14th Century and whether the EU recognises its right to be a country. At the end of the day FIFA don't recognise Catalonia as a country therefore its up to Arsenal to decide whether Fabregas can play for them.

I fully support Wenger's refusal to release Fabregas. Arsenal pay his wages and have every right to prevent a player they have spent millions on playing an unnecessary game that could result in him getting an injury.
