If we can ignore the media bollocks and made up stuff, the real thing to consider is which players would be agitating for a move and to my mind that's Toby (although a new contract could fix that)y, Wimmer, Lamela, Sissoko and maybe Walker.

Why would Walker be agitating for a move?

Of course if a player is determined to leave then they will, no point keeping a player that doesn't want to move in the same direction as everyone else. ,Poch wouldn't want a player like that at the club anyway. That however does not mean they will get to choose who they are sold to, as Modric very much found out.

Yeah and look at him rotting away now in the Leyton Orient reserves! Rat faced turn coat!! Serves him right

Don't know if anyone is "agitating", but two of those you mention have no reason to agitate anything.

Cheers Trix

Not surprised - we live in a period of fake news

Lots of these 'reports' are created to get internet hits and drive revenues.

So much bolux around

With regards Walker I was just speculating. I hope he stays, but his position in the first XI is arguably under most threat due to Trippiers improvement. He's also been 'rotated out' in a couple of
Key games this season. I'm not saying he is looking to move but if you asked me to order the first team squad in order of likeliness of wanting to move on, I'd have him nearer the top of the list. Opinion only.

It does always amaze me the length the media go to in order to try and create a story.

Saw one last night that Walker is assessing his future as he was dropped from the FA Cup semi final, they then drop in the wage increase line with no quotes from player, agent or any prospective clubs.

We just need to remind ourselves how close this squad is as I honestly think we're going to be one of the most exciting clubs and squads to play for over the next 2-3 years

This is the original article in Ekstra Bladet, which is a "Danish tabloid newspaper focusing on sensationalist news and political revelations" - Wikipedia

http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/fodbol...-spiller-sender-eriksen-til-barcelona/6629385

The same page features the article:

See also: Danish agent reveals: How do you sell to FC Barcelona

http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/fodbol...r-saadan-saelger-man-til-fc-barcelona/6628048

Ekstra Bladet is basically the Danish equivalent of The Sun. The second article is not even about Eriksen (but they make it seem that way), but is about the Danish Agent Mikkel Beck, who represented Digne in his move to Barca last year. No quotes about Eriksen at all, just Beck patting himself on the back.

Eriksens love for Barcelona was widely published in the Danish press during his first years at Tottenham, but since Poch has come in, no real stories. When he signed his new contract, he stated for Danish TV that he believed that he can achieve his goals here with Pochettino and the rest of the squad. So I don't think that we have to worry unless the whole team unravels.

From the outside it seems that players know where they are with Poch. They know the style of football we will play. They know that he is continually improving the club. The balance is will they earn more and win more things leaving of do they see glory days ahead at WHL? Into the mix must come the club finances. We don;t know beyond endless speculation what deals have been done over the naming rights and other sponsorship of the new stadium and I think this will building costs is surely a massive factor in what the club can offer. I suspect that our performance on the pitch much have enhanced our marketability But I am just speculatively thinking out loud

After such a season, it is inevitable that at least one big name and cherished player will end up leaving, IMO.

Like last season?!? You know, the one where we didn't get to cup semi-final or finish 2nd in the table...
As it stands, this season is an improvement on the previous. If we'd dropped down to 7th I could maybe understand your thinking, but we've actually improved. If a player sees the improvement on the pitch, as well as what's developing off it, there's nothing to entice them elsewhere other than money.
