Since 2008-9 Spurs have made more money from transfer sales than any other club in Europe’s top 5 leagues
The good people at the Football-observatory.com have released an eye-opening table illustrating just how much income clubs in Europe’s top 5 leagues have made since 2008-9.

The first point to notice is that since 2008-9, clubs in the top five divisions have spent an amazing €12.5 billion on transfers.

With regards to the clubs who have taken in the most amount of revenue from transfers, Tottenham top the list having sold €322.1 million in the last six years.

Of course, Tottenham’s transfer income was heavily boosted last summer by the world record €100 million transfer of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

Below Spurs, Real Madrid have recouped €303.7 million since 2008-9, Porto are third with €282.7m, while Liverpool are fourth with €239.8m.

The full list can be seen below.
