3 live games on saturday (one via 'other' means) also MotD and 2 on sunday - 1 on monday + Spanish, Italian and German + CL and EL. Its enough for me and I'm a football junkie.

And how's the final day for a football junkie? Seems lame to me.

they have the rights to show 116

so unless they reduce the number of games they show some weekends during the season then they cant show more on the last day

Yeah but that doesn't explain why the final day is nothing special for TV. Only 2 games, it's the same as every saturday matchday. If the 3pm blackout didn't exist, then the PL would surely sell the rights to all 380, or am I missing something? Why do they sell all 380 to our broadcaster here in Australia?

why not send an email to the FA and or Pl and ask them.

Well, I don't care all that much, it's just a matter of curiousity. I just feel sorry for fans in the UK when I think of the coverage compared to other natons which is poor in comparison but understandable due to Saturday's 3pm policy, but on the final day when that policy is irrelevant and it seems they could show more or all of the games, they don't. Just seems strange.

We'd be upset if our final game meant something and 2 other games were title contenders.

Im pretty sure that it is up to sky sports how many games they want for the final day, I remember when Newcastle got relegated they showed four matches that day as there four teams that could go down, so I dont think sky will make a decision until near the end

That's interesting. I was only looking at the old broadcast schedules for the past 2 season on PL.com and noticed only the 2 games on TV on the final days. I guess it makes sense not to show the dead rubber games that mean nothing and if there are other sports on Sky Sports other than football that they could be showing at that time. Also they wouldn't have enough channels for all the games, although I would have expected Sky to have a 'Red button interactive service" where mutliple simultaneous live broadcasts are available to chose from, which is the service which we have in Australia to watch the 3pm games every week. (We have the same remote controls) Does sky ever have this option for any sports?

Yes there is a red button service and this allows for other games to be shown

I just read that in 2010, Sky did not receive rights to the 2010 World Cup. Are you telling me that Sky have the potential of securing World Cup rights? Partial or exclusive? Partial is bad enough and if it's exclusive, then what a bloody disgrace and what a joke country the UK is. In Australia, it is government policy.

I never said anything. What are you on about? You're just talking to yourself in a completely schizophrenic way.
Are you just trying to wind me up? You seriously have never hear of the word "you" used in an indirect way like that?

But you just seem to be using this website as a source for all information on anything football related. People are getting tired of it and it's just spam frankly. You want to know about Kyle Naughton, World Cup TV rights or whatever- look it up.

Chris, they can get exclusive rights to the FIFA fucking world cup.
Well I simply refuse to accept that. I'll just assume you're mistaken. Because I know that football is the biggest sport in England and the government could simply never let a pay TV company take all the rights to the worlds biggest sports
competition. (Awaiting 'Optimistic' ratings)
