Bloody hell, we've been on loads and we're due to be on lot's more. What you're asking for is your own Sky channel for Spurs matches. In a few years I'm sure you'll have this, but at a cost of course.

It's on a night when there is just about a full program of matches. This will help ensure any streams you might 'accidently' find will have a slightly lower audience than usual which should mean better viewing. ;)

It's not just Spurs-Liverpool either, Everton-Arsenal is also a way more appealing game. Can't understand why one of those two aren't on. Hell, even Chelsea-Fulham and Swansea-West Brom look far more interesting games to me than Wigan-City. What a dull choice.

I realise that Sky are required to show Wigan a certain amount of times, I'd just rather they showed the games of theirs that are, on paper at least, more competitive and intriguing. It's a bit annoying when these kind of mundane matches are picked ahead of potentially fascinating ones. Forget Spurs even, Everton-Arsenal looks the game of the day. I'd love to see that (assuming I can't get a decent stream for the Spurs match). Wigan-City I won't likely bother with.

I guess it's their way of getting Wigan's minimum number of live games up. They tend to do this, show lower sides against bigger sides then at least there's some interest. If it was Wigan v So'ton you wouldn't get many watching.

I emailed Sky the other year. They chose Man Utd (top) v Pompey (mid-table) midweek, at quite short notice (not one of the planned ahead games) and Utd, unsurprisingly, strolled to a 3-0 home win. The same night we drew 4-4 with Chelsea!

Long story short your basically right.

Due to the rules they have for coverage of Prem games, they would have had very little choice this Wednesday. Its very complicated so I won't try and explain it all, but safe to say they won't be covering City v Wigan thru choice over the other games, their hands would of been tied due to having to fulfill certain obligations and abide my the rules.

What's also annoying is that Espn aren't even able to show one of the better games on Weds. And then they wonder why people stream..

Said this countless times. Why can't I sign up to a spurs "season ticket" sky package which costs a but more but has guaranteed HD coverage of every game available via the red button?

The reason why you cant, is because it would have an adverse effect on the lower league attendances. As a result, clubs who are barely hanging on, would cease to exist, which would impact the Premiership in the long term.

Considering how rarely premiership games start at 3pm on Saturday I'm not sure this would be quite as serious an issue as you worry but I get your point.

It isn't a rarity, though - a sizeable percentage (if not the majority) of Premiership fixtures are played at 3pm on a Saturday.

Just because wigan v man city isnt a big game for some of us, doesn't mean it isnt' a bit game for wigan, or city fans.

Its a local derby, its small yet fairly decent club vs league champions. Of course we'd all prefer spurs to be on, but if wigan did happen to hold their own and beat man city i am sure we would all love watching that. Its better that they show wigan games when they are playing a big team, than - wigan vs villa or something crap like that.

Wigan are actually a very good footballing side when they want to be, they play a decent game, the right way (usually), and city - well, they arent a small club are they, and not a bad side.

To be honest with you, as much as I would definately say that our game is a bigger one you have to feel for fans of smaller clubs who probably sit there and think "Oh for fuck's sake, not another Spurs/Arsenal/City/Chelsea/Liverpool/Utd game on telly again!".

At least this is what my missus always says. She's a Millwall fan and I'm not prepared to argue the toss with her. :p

US we get Fulham Chelsea on Fox Soccer; West Ham Man U on ESPN2 and Arsenal Everton on Fox Soccer Plus and hell even Norwich Southampton get a replay later in the day.. kind of silly.

There's no package that you get every game live in the UK?

The argument against this is that many fans would them stop going to games as they can watch all the games on TV. You can see how it would destroy a side like Wigan.

Local NFL games are blacked out within a 90 mile radius if they don't sell out here. Imagine that would be difficult to do with the Premier League.

If anyone is in Denmark ( :p ) I just wanted to tell you that they are showing the Spurs match on Wednesday.

Would prefer to be at the Lane though.

I turned on Sky One the other day and Spurs weren't on. WTF?

They also had something called MTV which I assumed stood for Memorable Tottenham Victories but when I turned it on there was some fat woman singing about James Bond.

I am outraged.

Fuck off mate.

Explain to me how that is in anyway condescending. I have a friend in the industry and was trying to clear something up for someone who didn't understand why a certain match was picked?

How can anyone think that is anyway condescending?

Thanks for the completely ott and unjustified abuse though. It was defo deserved.
