The behaviour of Modric and Berbatov does not even compare to the behaviour of Sol Campbell,

He was the hero, captain and figurehead of Tottenham Hotspur, a 10 year servant and our best and most valuable player, a source of pride that he played for us, think a Ledley or Mabbutt. He wasnt a career player from abroad passing through, he understood the club, the rivalries and the history inside out. And he lied. He let his contract run down relying on the blind faith and loyalty Tottenham that he wouldnt fuck us over and teh club fell for it, he lied in public about his loyalty to the badge. In fact he was running down his contract so he could slither over to our rivals for free whilst continuing to revel in his hero status to the Spurs fans, it was a total and utter bolt from the blue. .

Even had I not been a Tottenham fan I would have been disgusted by his deceit, and most non Spurs fans I knew were. On every level even beyond sport it was a despicable act of lying and dishonesty, and basically cheating people who have put their faith and trust in you.

In short the man is a ****. A complete and total ****.

If they are going to sack you for this, you're better off out of there and work for people who understand football.

Hope you don't get the sack - would seem a pretty petty thing to be sacked for, given I assume you weren't on work premises.

Are we still not over the Sol Campbell thing? Talk about Jealous ex girlfriend
it is nothing of the sort. The man deserves to be absolutely dug out every time a Spurs fan comes across him. I don't actually give a fuck about where he went, it was that he lied and lied and lied about signing a new contract and then fucked off down the road, if he wanted to leave, fine, say so and let the club sell you. The fact of the matter is that he left under the Bosman because of greed and the lure of extra coin! He lost anything resembling morality and fucked over the club that developed him into a top player.

The man is clearly not firing on all cylinders any more but I'd have done exactly the same, so you've been warned Sol! Don't come anywhere near Bank around lunchtime unless you want a torrent of non-racist (because we aren't racists and you know it) abuse!

Well I'm off the hook.

A profuse apology to my boss and a line or two about thinking before I speak and not making the same mistake twice did the trick. Of course he doesn't know that if I ever came across Sol again I would probably do exactly the same thing.

He did a bad thing in an underhand way.
Would I shout at him in the street? No.
With my boss alongside ? Definitely Not..
Most of this alleged hatred is a sham anyway kept going for silly tribal reasons
and you are a sad victim of it.
To put your job at risk for it is pathetic rather than heroic.
I should get your abject apologies in early.

That was painful viewing, I'm not even sure he knew where he was.

Thick Stephen Ireland, he's just a thick Stephen Ireland...

That episode on MOTD showed him up to either a) be an inarticulate fool, or b) too nervous to speak when a camera is on him.

Either way, I do hope he will not be near a studio any time soon.

Did Sol react when you shouted Judas at him?

Maybe it's Schadenfreude but I want him on there as a regular

Fair play OP but if I ever saw Campbell I would kick the living shit out of him right there in the street.

I'm an orange belt in judo (very close to moving up to a blue) so he wouldn't stand a fucking chance.

As Sol Campbell is my favourite player of all time, Even wrote him a letter asking him to stay back in the day... Oh the pain of losing him but in reality you cannot blame him for moving up in the footballing world.

So sorry I had to dislike :sorry:

Didn't really read very ironic tbh, but fair enough, apologies...

The idea that someone from the internet with an entirely fictional orange belt in Judo is threatening to 'kick the living shit' out of a guy who's built like a heavyweight boxer is obviously meant to be taken in jest.

Anyway, apology accepted, and I apologise in turn for calling you a douche.

So what you are saying is that you kept telling yourself that you were going to not shout anything and then at the last moment you changed your mind and screwed yourself?
Sol would be proud

I would. But I'd do it in a suitably charming, barbed and sarcastic manner so as to not get myself in the shit. ;)
