I think 4 medals for country of 5 milloin is rather favourable compared to 15 medals for country of 80 milloin.

Russia started pretty well, the Finnish equaliser stunned them and they never really recovered. The first period and a half were really good, very open hockey. It got pretty scrappy after the third Finland goal, Russia were ragged by the end.

With Sweden Finland and most likely Canada USA we could have a couple of humdingers for semi finals. Having said that, the Czechs are looking good against the Yanks.

I know very little about any winter sports but I've loved this games so far. The snowboard cross, skeleton, even the curling have all gripped me more than I thought or knew they would.

I even found myself taking an early lunch today just to watch the last few ends of the GB ladies curling team. I'm a convert...
