Just a shame that none of that matters! All that matters is whether you've won a medal or not

Yeah, population of 80 million and proper medication goes a long way on that front

At the moment I'd call it Finland and USA. Sweden have probably had the easiest route to the semis so far. Finland looked good against Canada and bar the first eight minutes or so were far better than Russia (although Russia have been pretty crap for large parts of the tournament.) Canada struggled a bit against Latvia, Crosby hasn't really turned up and their two leading scorers are defencemen. USA look as if they're playing without any pressure on them. Having said that, both semis could go either way.

Finland relies on there goalie to much.. and yes i think usa will beat canada today. Im really excited cause as a yank living in canada its going to be awkward at the bar today whenever usa scores lol.

Yeah, and Selänne. I did think Tuuka Rask would probably have kept out Sweden's second goal. Lundqvist is really solid for Sweden, though. Finland aren't effective enough on power plays.

The officials in the speed skating seem to be wildly inconsistent. It looks like it's completely random as to who actually gets penalised.

The British speed skater in hard luck there. Looked like she did nothing wrong.

The Chinese girl wipes out Elise Christie, so Elise gets disqualified. The officials are making it up as they go along.

A bit conspiracy theory-ish, but as they came round that last bend, the two Chinese skaters were last and both not making the final. After one Chinese took Christie out the other Chinese was able to saunter in and get the other final place.

I wouldn't be surprised, after all China is a country that beats 6 year old's and dopes 15 year old's in order to develop world class athletes.

Ouch. Looking like the yanks won't even get a medal at the moment.
