Well he couldn't have got a harder job. That team is awful but let's see if the man can do something there

He'll be gone long before we get drawn against them in anything...
Already out of this year's FA Cup and he won't be around by end of the season

Wouldn't it be great if we could be drawn against them and we could stuff the traitorous gobshite. Especially wonderful if it got him the sack.

What? Like not walk out within a week? Nothing against Macclesfield but I hope they get smashed every game.

Like tony Adams, I can’t see him having the mental capacity to coach players. Wouldn’t be surprised if his managerial career goes even worse than Adams.

Oh he has already worked his magic there......inspiring them to a win over Exeter from the stands last night. Just his mere presence has put them on an unbeaten run.

Agree with sparx100. I'm glad he has the opportunity. We can judge him at the end of the season. If he keeps them in the league I'd say thats sufficient to prove his value.

Think he will get sacked after 4 months. He’s too arrogant and not a likeable character. Could be wrong, but I don’t think he is cut out for management for many other reasons. That’s just 1!

So he's apparently been working with Boothroyd on the England U21 team, so maybe he's shown a talent for coaching enough that someone there has put in a good word for him.

My big problem with the way he's gone about this whole saga of being a manager, he's never once shown any inclination to "pay his dues". He seems to think simply being a former player - a very talented former player - should be enough for people to employ him to manage current players. Pundit, fair enough, it's opinions and dissection of things that have already happened and a former player would have an advantage in that department, but Player and Manager are two completely different jobs.

If he was serious about it he would've gone and gottena coaching job with any side that would have him and started earning himself a reputation as a good coach, a good man-manager, has an eye for a promising youngster and how to develop youth, but instead of investing his time establishing his credentials he's spent it whining that it's not fair and it's because he's black.

He's more bothered about the colour of his skin and blames it for more than anyone else on earth. Talk about cheapen efforts to combat racism. As a manager it'll be very interesting to see how this plays out for him, but as a human being his attitude is that of a perennial victim and while there may be bigots in football boardrooms, in his particular case, he's made this journey hard on himself at every opportunity.

Hate the man as most do, but kudos for taking on a team that is bottom of the 4th division. Hope he fails spectacularly.

Succeeding at the worst team in the whole league is hard, but failing there is even harder.

He can't really lose can he?

I wouldn't describe it as a brave move. But I admit I'm biased again the bloke having experienced the full extent of his self-serving dishonesty.

Paul Ince tips Sol Campbell for Tottenham job

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/11/28/sol-campbell-tipped-for-tottenham-job-by-paul-ince/

Campbell has long campaigned for a job in management and this is his opportunity to show what he can do.

Former Manchester United title winner Paul Ince is pleased for the ex-England international.

He told SkySports: "The lads will be buzzing once they see Sol there.

"He has got a good football brain, who knows in years to come he might be managing Tottenham."

Poor Paul, never was the sharpest tool in the box

Ince probably thinks he's got a shot at the West Ham job as well.

Funny my wife started to ask me the other day

"Would you still support Spurs if......?"

"IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN...EVER...EVER..EVER!"

It's to hard to get my head around.

This isn’t a race thing anymore. Ince and Campbell won’t get top jobs because of mental health issues.
