Campbell: "I know some Macclesfield fans will probably be saying 'what is going on here?' But you've got an international footballer, who has been one of the best footballers in the world, coming to your club. I think it's a nice mutual balance there."

Well at least we know there's going to be some amusing snippets from press conferences for the next 6-8 weeks of his employment.

If there was a quote to sum up Sol and the reason he won't succeed in management, its that's one. Arrogance, mis-reading the situation (good player does not equal good manager) and already separating himself from 'your club'.

I would be highly surprised if that bullshit worked in the dressing room of a league 2 club.

I heard the (Ince) interview. Ince's comment was tongue in cheek, his idea of a joke.

Sharp tools indeed :D

Just listening to the press conference highlights on talksport.

Jesus. Christ.

I wonder if every post-match interview will be like this?

"So, Sol, a hard fought draw today, great work by the midfield but some questions in defence you'll need to work on maybe? What's your thoughts?"
"Well, i mean... I'm Sol Campbell! This is a great opportunity for Macclesfield and their players, they should work harder else they're going to waste this chance i'm giving them."

Such a bell end.

Bet Sulzeer can’t do this though. (n)

Unpopular opinion time. I feel a bit for Adams on this one. Yes, it looks ridiculous but he's obviously trying to demonstrate defensive pressure and cover to the players in a totally reasonable way considering he's not working in his first language. The arms going back and forth is him trying to tell them to get the nearest player to close down and then, if the ball is moved across, for the first player to drop back into shape and the player that was covering now offering pressure. It's basic defensive coaching - I've worked on it with the U13s I coach. Bit worrying that Adams felt that a La Liga side needed that level of coaching to be honest!

Excellent press conference from Judus. So humble, thought I was listening to Poch

Maccs players and supporters must be so excited to have such an intelligent and level headed manager with so much fantastic experience and knowledge of the game

Lets be honest If he leads Macclesfield to the win the double he'll still be a **** but I just cant see it happening

Another classic quote :
"The difference between the Premier League and League Two is just margins, decision-making and things like that." (n)(n)

just listened to some of his press conference, all about me, me, me. I'm going to try really hard as i don't want to go down, no one wants that on their CV. Can't see how the players are going to take to him.

I feel sorry for the macclesfield fans,

Ray Parlor said much the same about leaving his ego and his achievements behind it means nothing at this level,if he can't he'll find it difficult.

I just saw it on SSN. Unbelievable thing to say about yourself. All I kept thinking was that he’s like an unlikeable David Brent. A really unlikeable David Brent.

It's the caretaker boss I feel sorry for here. By all accounts Danny Whittaker is Macclesfield through and through but it sounds as though Judas wants to bring in his own staff.

Macclesfield have just won a couple of games so you wonder if they may take a step back now, especially if Judas tries to change the tactics around. Despite what he said in his presser there's a massive difference between the EPL and League two.

My local league two outfit appointed a new boss and he's admitted that it's taken a couple of months for the players to get comfortable with a new system.

Anyway, I was hoping they would stay shit before he got the job and now there's another reason to do so.

No he isn’t. He’s showing his players how he danced after 15 pints of Carling Black Label.

Figured I'd take a look at what the other team's fans think of the situation - from Red Cafe user UnrelatedPsuedo;

Why has the media gone on a run of headlines suggesting that he didn't get a job sooner because he's black.

It's pretty evident that he didn't get jobs because he's an absolute weapon of the highest order.

Words of wisdom from ol moany Sulzeer

"I’m 30 now and in five years' time I won't be in this country. That's definite. Italy looks good to me because it would suit my kind of football. Spain is an option." - He joined Portsmouth

“Mansion tax. Now that would really affect me. Maybe that is selfish, but it is a real thing.” - On the proposed Mansion Tax (He's a Tory)

"I'm one of the greatest minds in football and I'm being wasted because of a lack of experience" - After being rejected by Oxford (They offered the job to Craig Bellamy who had worked at youth level to gain experience)

"Go to Germany, they love people who speak their minds. They got the jobs. I'm sorry that I've got a mind, but don't be scared of that. That should be something you want at your club, but obviously not." - Telling the world he's brainy again.

"I've got no OBE, MBE, nothing. And no one says anything… How can I have this career? And be who I am? And no one's said anything? To get an MBE, just three people have got to write in. Three people have never written in about Sol!” - On having no friends

TL/DR;
- If something good happens it's because he's the smartest, most handsome and talented man to ever grace the beautiful game.
- If something bad happens it's because the whole world of football is a racist cesspit and these racists are holding back his brilliance.

But other than that, no-one cares. RAWK, Woolwich Mania, both Pompey forums (so, about seven posters total, but still), KUMB, not a singular shit reserved for a guy who, according to his own hype, is one of the best managerial minds to not be given a chance.
