He's already played and scored against Stoke on a wet Thursday night away from home too, they kicked bawbags out of the whole Valencia team IIRC
Soldado had had enough and gave one of Stokes players the rest of the night off IIRC.

Someone will correct me I'm sure.

finishing, reaction time, positioning, timing, first touch, pace, he has everything. his technique for hitting shots first time and volley though...that level is world class

A lot of those goals came from build up play far more fluid than we are accustomed to seeing in all truth. Lets hope we can create the opportunities for him!

A lot of it is about observation from the supporting players but he could kill it in the EPL just needs the service which can be offered in spades

It's funny how things work out. Linked for several centuries to Leandro, who doesn't really look all that. Then it looked like we'd be getting Villa, who would have been incredible for the hype alone, but is already past his best (even if he's still great). Then we seemed nailed on to sign Benteke, who I personally think is massively overrated and would have been a huge waste of money.

After all that we end up with a striker I would have taken over any one of them. Soldado is a real number 9 striker that we've been lacking for several seasons now. He only turned 28 in May so we're looking at at least three seasons with him. I still can't really believe we've signed him :playful:

Our build up play would look pretty good if you only saw video of our goals. Or in the case of our strikers, misses. Think of our goals against City in the home game.

The first goal on that video is pure class!

So many 1 touch finishes, the sign of an out and out goal scorer!

I think all of the goals apart from 2 in the vid were scored with his first touch the others were 2 and 3 - brilliant! That is a guy who knows where the goal is and doesn't fanny about, giving defenders the chance to get near the ball.

i hope we get the ball in the box more so he can thrive - i'm sure his movement will help us create chances too
