On this great Luka-unveiling day, I've become privy to another little snippet.

We are desperately seeking a leader. A midfield leader. Really desperately.

The Goat is unsure of whether this is Ledley King related - unlikely in The Goat's opinion - more the fact that our midfield lacks bottle.

P.S. This obviously isn't shocking news - however, it is good to know that the club do have the right priorities.

Lots of love,

Billy

Good one, sounds like everybody's heads are well and firmly in the right place this summer when it comes to transfer dealing.

Was wondering Mr Goat why you didn't know anything about a mere £16 million signing which has obviously been under discussion for quite some time, in fact probably since December when Modric's chairman was doing the rounds amongst Premiership clubs?

Interestingly I read in the Gazzetta just this lunch time, that Milan are very hopeful of signing Flamini. La Gazzetta seem convinced that this will be at the expense of Gattuso, in fact they printed a number of potential Milan sides with possible signings and formations, not a single one included Gattuso.

Seems he is likely to move on. Maybe I am being a little too optimistic after Luka's arrival, but I can't think of a better match right now. A young talented team in need of a leader, and an Italian world cup winner in search of a fresh challenge?

I suppose it's channels of "need to know" or what the source is privy to.

The Goat's source may be in on certain weaving webs of progress but not on others.

All we can do is take it or not and move on.

You really just don't get it, do you L10?

Of course it was really obvious, to be honest, we all expected the transfer of Luka to be announced in the wee hours of the morning. We all knew that, so it's quite strange that there was a 9 page thread by 8:00 this morning with people being excited about the revelations. :?

You're obviously sceptical about this - fair enough. But these people (whose anonymity we protect) give their information in good faith, passing on to fellow Spurs fans when they easily couldn't. It's remarks and churlishness like I've seen from you in a couple of threads that causes us to have to get our information from other sites - rather than have it directly here. The Goat is supposed to encourage people to submit (and prove) stuff to us - not have people have a go, when especially the main source has no reason whatsoever to be doubted. And you just have to trust that, in the same way that you trust us to run a site for no gain but to help others access this sort of information.

So if you could take a step back and have a think about the effect that sort of posting has, I'd be more than grateful.
