Net spend doesnt matter, we should be applauded for doing our business that way. If you looked at it like a house where you live in a two bed flat and sell that and with the same money you manage to get a 3 bed house. Would your wife moan that you didnt spend more to buy the same three bed house?

No but if I was bringing home big money and she knew full well we could afford the Detached 5 bed Victorian with the swimming pool and acre of land down the road and I told her she'd have to make do with the 3 bed semi, she be seriously peed off and would moan non stop.
Why should we be applauded for not showing any ambition.

It was because he wasn’t called Timotee des Bois. Also because he did not talk about “attacking with exceptional quality” “the philosophy/project” “being special” etc.

On a side note, I like Pochettino but his English in public is still so limited that his interviews are next to pointless.
I find a lot of interviews in football fairly pointless if I'm honest. They often seem to be taken straight out of a book of cliches and soundbites.

It's what the public wants. "Hopefully" is the word used most often
The Speaker of the House of Commons says the public don't like it when the leaders have a go at each other.

I always thought 'there or thereabouts' must the most common phrase used by managers.

Something rotten about the place could equate to the section under why the atmosphere at White Hart Lane has been so crap.

Not sure whether I agree that there's something rotten, but things are not right. A quiet home crowd suggests many thousands believe that.

Don't like the recent noise from Verts. The way AVB left, the Sherwood shambles, no comments or explanation from the chairman, the lack of financial backing to get Poch the players he wanted. I fear that there is trend of false promises being made by Levy to the players/coaches which hardly helps create a belief and loyalty amongst the team. I've mentioned under one of the other threads that Poch's body language doesn't feel me with confidence.

Attractive winning football may turn our current spirits around. I hope so anyway.

The questions don't help : "how important is it to win this game?"

Nice pic, how many were stars when we bought them?
VDV the others were potentials, when they realised there potential, they fcuked off and there was jack we could do about it.
Same with Bera, sell me or I go on strike.
We got top money for them, we are now repeating this process.
Sorry we don't have 250,000 a week for the Di Marias of the world.
Maybe some of the nasayers could chip in for the 15 to 20 million a year wages?
After 5 games, 2 being glimpses of what the team is capable of, 2 not so great and 1 ground out result, you could afford the manager a little time to implement his philosophy.
Instead after a bad result, we're shit X y z player should be shot, we bought crap, we should be millions in debt to get anywhere.
The place stinks alright and it's some of our opinions.

We do have 250,000 for the DiMaria's of the world.

Week's wages of Soldado, Chiriches + Paulinho = DiMaria

I don't want him per se, but we do have the money- we just spread it around on lots of dross. We have a big squad filled with average-to-shit players. And mate- these aren't "bad results"- this is the worst football any of us have ever seen. I've been a supporter for 13 years- watched every Prem game in that time- and what I see now makes me ill. We are fucking terrible- and we have been for the past three years. Top 6 this-that blah blah blah- the football is fucking putrid. For the first time ever I find myself starting not to care during games. I have no connection to this group of slow-footed, dim-witted slugs. There is not a single player who if he left today I would give a flying fuck about. My Spurs are dying right in front of my eyes.

Fuck the "bad results"- I've been through those. This is straight-up shite.

Nice assessment after 5 game's, it's all MP fault weve playing shite for the last 3 years.
I'm sure you were saying don't worry, Modric and Bale will come good soon you'll see.
I'm excited by watching Lamela and Eriksen grow in our team.
I'm old enough to have watched the 90s, that was shite.

How is telling the truth a negthread?

What is it about some members that can't handle facing reality.
It's not my reality. And it's just another negative thread. Why don't we just have a thread called dump negative shit in here. People can rant all they want in there. Positive people who want to give the team a chance arent welcome. This has to be about the 30th thread created pretty much saying the same thing. I'm bored of it. We are 5 games In for fucks sake.

Wait- what?!? Where on earth did I say this was all MoPo's fault?!? Wtf? Uh- bro- I pretty clearly said that the situation has been dire for three years. I don't "blame" Poch- I think he is a victim (albeit a well-paid one at that) and a guy in over his head. He didn't pick Soldado, Paulinho and Chiriches- they were thrust upon him, and now he's gotta make the best of it.

No- our decline has been a long, steady trip downwards- to the point where I'm starting not to care I'm so turned off. I love Tottenham, but I hate what's happened to Spurs.

Declined from what exactly?
MP in over his head? Based on what? His 5 games?
Do you know how irrational and impatient you sound?
