Will reserve judgement but totally what I expected, all or nothing type of team which reflects Dims desire to get the job. All goes well and we score for fun and we win, hero - but could absolutely go the other way and he will end up looking a tactical infant
Think you're onto something here.

Interviews/a decision is probably close - this is potentially Tim's last throw of the dice.

A draw or a narrow win wouldn't swing the momentum enough in his favour, perhaps he believes dealing out a thrashing would be the deciding factor for him.

Definitely want to see Ade and Soldado, Eriksen and DEMBELE playing together!
Good to see Rose back.

First time I've been excited about our team sheet this season.

Could be open in the centre of midfield but we have Capoue on the bench should we need to shut up shop.

Need some optomistic ratings so going for a 3-1 win for us after conceding first....

I agree. I'm quite excited myself. I can clearly understand why Sherwood has put such an offensive team up, it's because Southampton has the best defence record this season. So if we were to score, we need to be offensive.

I hope we can keep hold of the possession more than them, and peg them back. As the best form of defence is attack - especially for todays team anyways.

Wow, Timmy-Boy really is going for it.
We could score 20...or we could be chasing shadows all day.
A lot will depend on Dembélé winning the ball, along with work-rate from the rest of our front 8 :nailbiting:

Exactly. Maybe its a bit naive from Sherwood not to get a ball winner in Midfield, but for the first time in over a year, i feel ive got my Tottenham back
So its chew nails time bhind sofa wheneve we dont have the ball but drool going forward?! Lol... I know what you mean.

Would have been nice if we could have had the match controlling spurs of first third of season coupled with ruthless attacking, seems we only manage all or nothing either way. Gonna be interesting.

I fear Southampton at home, with their season and their manager we will be shown up as naive in this one. I appreciate what Tim is doing here, but i am not sure this was the match to do it in... Maybe. Good luck to us regardless.

Well I can't tell if he's planning to play 4-3-3 with Ade and Lamela as wide-forwards or 4-4-2 with either Eriksen or Siggurdson on the left. I'd rather the latter as Southampton will dominate the midfield if we've only got 2 in the centre.

Defending set pieces will be a huge problem

Dawson, Adebayor, Walker, Vlad and that's it

I think we'll see the best of Sigurdsson today with the shackles off.

And could it not be Eriksen alongside Dembele?

I think we're going to need an ark on the scale of Noah's to survive the torrent of BC-rage-jizm that will be forthcoming on learning that Dembele is the most defensive-minded of our front 6 today.

I'm pleased to see Lamela, Eriksen Soldado and Adebayor starting but don't see why we've gone Sigurdsson over Capoue
They need to have CB cover on the bench, If Capoue started
& had to go off injured or was sent-off then 1 of cb had to go off.. what do u do then, there just eliminating the possibility of chance by not starting him.
It should be Holtby for Siggi IMO

I would have preferred Capoue as a defensive midfielder rather than Siggy but let's see!

It say's 4,4,2 but Adebayor will drop deeper to help out the midfield, so more or less at times it will be a 4,5,1. Very attacking, very bold. I'm excited about this, but I'm also browning my bloomers at the same time
