Literally happens at all football clubs, players are entitled to ask why they're not being picked.

I have no problem with questioning why you aren't playing. He was being passive aggressive from the moment he sat down. Note the What's the problem, rather than 'what can I do to be picked or to improve and be considered.' Tanganga took his place in the side, he was told why and then proceeds to ignore it calling other players shit (none of which matters considering it was Tanganga that took his position on the left), intimates that the dressing room agrees with him (I highly doubt that) and then throws his toys out of the pram and mentions Levy when Mourinho doesn't give him instant gratification.

Just finished the latest episodes. After all that happened this year I’d somehow forgot about the injuries that just kept coming and coming. Really is amazing that after that Aston Villa game we were only a point behind Chelsea. Losing Sonny was the final nail in our coffin and I dread to think how low we would have finished if the season had continued as normal.

I’m quietly optimistic going in to this season that surely we can’t have that much bad luck again with so many long term injuries to key players.

I think he asked a very fair question though, how comes other players were being picked when they were as equally as shit as him (which he acknowledges), he was just direct about it which seems to have got people's backs up.

No problem asking why he does not play.
However, it really is out of order saying that others being sh*t is facts.
He should IMO instead have said that it is a lot harder to look good against Liverpool than Boro.
Also, threatening to speak to the chairman is just childish.

Every segment involving Levy, I felt there was a deliberate attempt to portray that the fans don't know how hard his job is.

I reckon he says that to himself every morning in the mirror. Then as he says it he counts his salary out. $5m, $6m, flicks his hair and says “I’m worth it”?

Nevertheless, such a valuable contribution will undoubtabky recieve the rep it deserves.
yeah but how many players make a veiled threat to go speak to the chairman if they don’t like what they hear from the manager?
In all the years i've been a football fan? Fucking hundreds.

It's like people just have it in for someone and objectivity goes right out the window.

in a real life scenario at the office, it’s akin to you not liking feedback from your supervisor so you go and see the CEO or MD. The intent may be fine to seek clarification but it certainly comes across as undermining the authority of your 1-up

Many players will make a velied threat to speak to chairman, it is called asking for a transfer.
Levy deals with transfers, not Mourinho.

And it is nothing like being in an office.
The players hold all the power at a football club, not the manager.

Doesn't look like it with Rose.

I dunno what happened behind the scenes off camera A&C , but for that scene to be in the docuseries is pretty damning of the relationship between Rose and the club....

One takeaway from the series is how much Jose says “ let’s go... fucking hell...” in his team talks... and he is definitely more about the psychological edge to win games and the warrior mentality to wing games more than anything.

Also did Uncle Joe make a cameo in the boardroom scene reading a paper?

What doesn't look like it.
Rose wasn't happy with Mourinho, told him he was going to speak to Levy (basically ask for transfer), and within a couple of weeks he left the club.

Same Rose who’d previously publicly said he wasn’t going to be farmed out by the club when we were trying to get him out however we could, and said he’d just see out his contract and leave for free.

yeah but even Levywas saying himself the clubs Rose thinks he deserves to be playING in are here( hand gestures to Levy’s ear) but the only interests are Newcastle who won’t buy anybody older than 26 and Bournemouth who will loan with a buy option should they survive the drop

But it still shows the player holds all the cards.
At that moment, he walked into Mourinho's office, listened to him, didn't like what he had to say, basically told him he was asking for a transfer and in effect within 2 weeks was out of the club and started playing regular football again.
Seriously if that isn't showing you that the players hold all the cards, then really I don't know what can, and he will still go on a free at the end of this season, and pick up big signing on bonus and high wages when he goes.

Rose doesnt strike me as a team player. All me me me, which in fairness is your average player, still, he’s wandering around like Roberto Carlos when he’s really just Bob.

I dont have a problem with Rose. In fact, kind of wish he didnt have that convesation in the managers office and had it in front of the team. They were absolute fucking shit and had been all season. Would have no problem with someone calling them out to their faces. I’m floored they put that in this documentary though. Poor from the club. He does need to leave the club permanently though.

Things were quite upbeat after the Villa win, only for the stuffing to be knocked out of us with the Son’s injury. Who knows what could have happened if Son stayed fit.

Agree with others, you can see why Lloris has the armband. Much better fit.
