if we build a huge new stadium perhaps we could sell off the name rights to our current sponsor and call it 'The Mansion'.......

Guys, hot off the press. I never do ITK's because up until now I have not been one. But my friend Dave works for a large engineering consultancy who have the contract for the new stadium design.
He has no access to the images as it is all behind the scenes at present. But the key thing is, its a minimum 60,000 and its on the existing site.
I trust this guy and I will post images as soon as I have them and any info just as soon as it comes I promise.

Michaelden - You know Dave, worked with us at BP1 - Its him.

If it's true, you might get your poor friend fired by revealing his full name in that other thread...

I'm with SS57 on this one, sloppy, they've just taken the training centre - enfield - new stadium and made up a story.

But this does raise one question for me, what is so important about Haringey?

As a club we were 82 years old before the grand old borough of Tottenham with its marble staircased town hall became part of a bigger Haringey with it's souless concrete "civic centre", it is just some civil servants idea of boundary lines and quite honestly if the club was to move out of Tottenham Staying in Haringey would mean absolutely nothing, unless it was Wood Green along White Hart Lane maybe.

Last year I went on the Haringey council councilors web pages where they all introduce themselves and not a single one of them even mentioned the Spurs, only one said they support a football team and she was arsenal, they supported all sorts of causes on every continent around the world but not their home football team, not that more than two of them were born in the area mind you.
I tell a lie one did mention us in passing, he was the local guy who said he was working to restrict non resident parking when Tottenham were at home, which of course he achieved, cheers pal thanks for nothing, hope you get run over when we're away.

Sorry for the rant but I hate Haringey, always did.

Interesting and given that we know the club has bought a lot of the surrounding land/property at WHL, the Guardian story is probably one of the following:

a. Sloppy journalism

force movement from Haringey or an

I was in and engineering firms offices a few weeks ago and I saw the plans and photo images of the new Liverpool stadium. It looks fairly impressive too.

BTW - anyone seen the plans for the renovation of the Camp Nou? It's a Fosters job and it looks great!!! Roof and all!

Well, I'll take a crazy out-of-left-field guess that wherever this site that has allegedly been 'identified' is, it won't be five minutes' walk from Town or Chase stations, or Gordon Hill.

I'd have thought Picketts Lock would be the obvious place to start - theres acres and acres of wasteland and, when that cinema was first put up, it was intended to be pulled down for the refurbishment of the land for a new athletics park (initially for the olympic bid, but the site was moved).

If it was anywhere in Enfield, i'd say it'll be nearer that area than any further in...
