You are not grasping it that I am grasping the fact that you are not grasping the legal obligations!! Seriously the Capel case seems unique and as others have said we not to sign him it would more likely be because Madrid or another top club get him, we don’t want him or he doesn’t want to come nothing to do with Sevilla not doing business with us.

And here is where your argument all along has fallen down. If capel doesn't come to us it won't be based on anything to do with the chairman/president of Sevilla, it will be either because we're not arsed, or the player isn't arsed.

It doesn't make you 'right' if he doesn't come, because your argument for him not coming is incorrect. It's like me saying Ronaldinho won't come to Spurs because he once knocked off Ramos' missus then kissing my own arse when 1st September rolls around because Ronaldinho is still at Barca, even though the argument against it was a lie.

p.s. As if you'd put me on your ignore list for that, I haven't terrorised you or berated you. Stop being so sensitive.

ok Kendall you're right I'm being too sensitive - I did actually put you on my ignore list as my blood pressure went through the roof :)

but I realise that was me being silly - I still don't accept that my argument is wrong though - and I still vehemently disagree with your assertion about me changing my story etc most miffed I still am about that :) but I guess I'll have to live with being miffed :)

Whilst I was jammed in the traffic this morning as a result of that lorry being on fire on the M25 I had a think about Spurs signing Capel funnily enough.

Now I like Capel although never seen him I just like him and would be happy if we signed him.

BUT!

I was thinking I was raving over him as he's young, talented and Spanish but we have our own player of his style in Danny Rose waiting to step up from our reserves who is a very talented young player.

Should we be stunting his progress just for the sake of buying a cool Spanish whiz kid? I'm not so sure...

P.S. I know he players in the centre mainly for the ressies but reckon he'll probably end up our left wing hopefully!

Any thoughts people?

I agree with you. Capel may or may not turn out to be great, but he's very raw & I personally don't think he looks cut out for the Prem. I'd personally keep Bale at LM & keep Rose battling away.

Yes it may also be a bit soon for Bale to be shouldering the responsibility of playing left back so maybe it would be more worthwhile investing in a left-back to play behind him with him on the left wing and also have Rose in the squad pushing for a place in the 18 man match-day squad and possibly the starting 11.

I would personally take a look at relieving Reading of Nicky Shorey as provides English backbone, he's shown to be a good player at international level (probably bought down slightly by poorer players around him at Reading this season) and with his contract up nexty summer he'll be available for a much better price saving us money for other signings (plus not bank-rupting ourselves!).

Shorey is an excellent idea, and would fit the Ramos criteria of a an attacking full-back.

So lets all hope they get relegated on Sunday.

In amongst all the foreign exotica we're going to be linked with, Shorey would be a very good shout indeed.
