The great underachievers. Modric, VdV, Adebayor, Bale. The best football i've ever seen us play since I was born. 3rd and cruising. Flirting with the top in feb. No coincidence really.

Even Harry - looked out of his depth at the end of the season but blimey was he good for the first half. Knows how to get the basics right at least.

11/12 team on paper wins easily and would be favourites fo' sho.

However, I do say regularly that in terms of being a 'team' that 09/10 is still the best we had, and indeed over the course of a league season its the one that has picked up most points. Whilst individually it doesn't look the best, when it comes together as a whole it was functional, balanced and ticked most of the boxes when it comes to what you need to beat the oppostion.

Happy memories of how we absolutely STORMED the league at the end of the season, Keano hit form and hit something like 15 in 15 and Ledley had come back in and no-one passed our defence.

Much as we all loved VDV, it would be amazing if we could take the whole 2011-12 team, remove VDV and Ade and place Berbs and Keano in their 2006-07 prime up top.

06/07 was a more enjoyable as a season. The Keane Berba partnership was good, the team finished with a wet sale, whereas last years team was challenging for the title in January!!

I voted 2011-12 on paper that team has to be the best. Solid, flair in the midfield and goals from anywhere.

I would have to say that 11-12 was the group of individual players we've had, 10-11 was the most fun team to watch and 09-10 was the best unit we've had.

So I'd have to go for 10-11. One their night they were devastating.

Think the players are starting to buy into avbs methods. Think consistency now is starting to happen. wont see so many poor results wigan, norwich, west brom. The arsenal game was a one off as were down to ten men.

It's funny though because on transfer deadline day 2011 everyone thought we had fucked ourselves over because we only bought Parker on the last day, but of course we had put a very good team of players together people just didn't appreciate it at the time.

How such a good team managed to fall apart so spectacularly I will never understand.

However I also think this team will be the most balanced one yet. Our defense this year with the addition of Vertonghen, Lloris, Caulker, and Naughton is probably the best so far especially in terms of depth.

11-12 by some distance for me. What a team. The best I have ever seen in 38 years. If only Defoe had stretched to tap in at the Eithad history could have been very different.
