For a 17 year old, Skipp looks fantastic.

This kid is something special. I missed the Barca game, and our commentators spent a considerable amount of time during the early stages of the Milan broadcast commenting on how impressed they were with young Skipp against Barca. Stunning composure, vision, awareness, passing range and precision, and even the ability to beat his man on the dribble.

A lot of the kids did very well (KWP is just great, I still wish we’d have just promoted him to 2nd choice last season), and the game was a lot of fun to watch. Was really impressed with how ferociously the kids pressed, and how much they seemed to really understand Poch’s system. Amos in particular seemed to really get it, and suggested to me why Poch seemed to favor him in these friendlies. His passing was safe and tidy, but he was a monster at creating scenarios to win the ball back.

I get that people strongly disagree with the team crossing the Atlantic and playing so many games this close to the start of the season, but my god if it isn’t fun watching our tremendously talented kids on ESPN lay it to expensive European signings.

No that's just me getting carried away.
Twice last year and again now in pre-season.
Didn't mean to imply that he was always MOM.
I do like this boy.

First I thought you meant only last season and I remembered a game in Newport where he certainly wasn't MotM. Hope he kicks on this season.

I don't think Skipp and Amos were as good as everyone else says. They were decent, but I thought Amos was better in the other two games and Skipp was better in the Barca game. I thought KWP, after two poor games at LB, and Eyoma were very good. Eyoma looked so composed on the ball.

As for the game, it was a weird one. We kept the ball better than we did against Roma and the first half against Barca and worked it into good positions, but all our chances were created by an AC Milan player . We pressed really well but didn't defend well overall, particularly in the first half.

Arsenal are top on what I can only assume is by alphabetical order

On the ICC website it has us top, arsenal only on 6 points, 1 win (3 points) 1 penalty win( 2 points) 1 penalty loss(1 point) so I can only see they have 6 points also on those games, unless I have the points wrong as does ICC website.

Juv and Lyon I think are only 2 that can go top.

Yeah, that table has just gone wonky and awarded Arsenal two full wins.

They've only got 6 points, unless they've somehow been given a bonus, bonus for scoring all their penalties or something, which would be fairly typical of their fortune...

Interesting read about the reasons behind these tours.

https://sports.yahoo.com/preseason-tours-evolved-money-making-brand-building-machines-182946771.html

Now, they need “real money” to compete. That means eight-figure appearance fees from Relevant. But it also means growing their customer base. The up-front payments are increasingly small chunks of annual turnovers pushing $800 million. The value is now the brand-building – the spellbound fans who gathered in Chicago at a Borussia Dortmund kit launch event, who represent future dollars, and a path to continued commercial dominance.

The tours are merely one piece of broader, year-round global strategies. But as Glick explains, there’s no other way to “replicate the immersion you can give to a city like Chicago, New York, Miami, for the business community, the football fans, the local community leaders, the government. … It’s really, really special.”

We are definitely top and only juve inter Lyon can catch us. Juve play Real on Saturday and must win. Inter and Lyon have to play each which will automatically rule one of them out or both if it’s a draw. Lyon also have to play chelsea at the bridge. If I was a gambling man I’d say it’s coming home ?

I saw Dinzeyi and Tracey in one of the videos.

I imagine we'll see a team similar to the AC Milan game.
