Don't want him, a history of injury problems and goes off form a lot Only been talked about now because he scored 25 goals for Sao Paulo.
Do NOT buy.

I'd love us to get him, don't think he'd last a 38 game season mind but purely for competition and cover for Kane.

He's someone who failed to live up to the early potential he showed. 26 is not old but it represents a considerable risk to buy him at the fee which is being talked about. We would struggle to get rid of him, if it doesn't work out.

Huge risk, career faded, clearly a very talented player. Daily Fail article back in the summer said he hasn't played for the national side since 2012. He plays for Sao Paulo but Corinthians still pay a large part of his wages, sounds like we have been here before?!
Maybe a bit like Falcao in that he was brilliant but now his star has faded a bit?
Only scored once in last two seasons at AC Milan. Corinthians chairman quoted saying he prays day and night that they sell Pato.
Just doesn't sound like a gamble we need to take imo.

So, the Daily Mail has us linked with another Brazilian striker who hasn't lived up to his early reputation, do they?

I doubt the reality of this link but could be a good cheap class option. Can't see Poch wanting him unless he does an Iron Man as part of his fitness test

I'd take him immediatley. Prefer to have an injury prone striker back up to no striker back up.

I doubt it. This was around in the last window and didn't happen then. Pedigree yes but not young, cheap or proven in England. We need a striker, even though I'm hoping Son and Chadli will provide a little help for Kane soon but I don't think this is the best deal out there.

Not interested... Too much of a risk, we need to bring someone in who can quickly be brought into the team, not someone who will need a couple of months to settle to life in London and the league.

Unless he comes cheap with low wages. But I don't see that happening.

I seemed to remember there was some ITK on him in the summer. If Corinthians are desperate to get rid then if true that can only mean that Levy can see a good deal - 5M bid!

Too expensive based upon his history. PL consists of physical and fast moving play, over 38 games + Euro & Cup games...so i doubt he will be strong enough, and he will need to step up a few levels in fitness for Poch. to play him. We don't want another problem Brazilian player, Levy has to cut the financial risk to Spurs, so a loan based on pay per minutes per game / goals/ assists / stats. could be the answer.

If this isn't a clear warning that we should keep away I don't know what is, I strongly suspect that even some non religious supporters were praying day and night we'd get rid of Adebayor.

...is (probably) the right answer.
