He's really, really talented. If we are wanting to find a replacement to Holtby next summer he would be a great addition. I think he's got what it takes to make the transition to the EPL.
Yeah, I was watching the game because my favorite player this year (in the Bundesliga) has been Bandelj. I would like him if we were ever to get rid of Capoue. It's silly how consistently good he's been this year (and last). That being said, Firmino was the best on the field, he played well as a deep-lying striker.

We had him on trial a year or two back, didn't we?
Yeah, I liked the look of him back then, just from Youtube vids mind. Quick off his line, and his distribution is top draw. I was just watching a Vid someones made of just his kicking

A guy who has really grown on me over the last season or so is Fabien Delph of Aston Villa.
Tons of ability,pace and determination.
Would be excellent in our midfield and pace is something we lack there.
Holtby,Siggy and Capoue are not the quickest,I would replace one or two of them with this guy.

I will bump this and say again.....we really need to buy him for our midfield!

Kostas manolas - olympiakos. Good ball playing cb.

My problem with Greek players - as well as, say, Italianos and Russians - is the they're not good "travellers", i.e. they get easily home sick and that affects their on field performances.

I dont know about that papadopoulos from schalke and papastathopoulos from dortmund seem to have settled well and i think that german football is the closest to the epl in europe. I think a player settling is more dependant to his style of play or other factors. You could still be right about him not settling though..

There are exceptions of course - like Zola, Vialli from Italia f.ex. and, as you mentioned, Papadopoulous and Papastathopoulos from Hellenika.
I read an article about it like 10 years ago, which was mainly about Greek players and their "home-sickness".

If Spurs looks to replace Walker (I see no reason why they should though) look no further than Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina).
And, not unlike Walker, he's not best known for his defending ;)

I would actually like Nathanial Clyne as a direct replacement. I rate him.

Bit ironic if that came to pass.

Clyne used to train with Spurs as a youngster but used to lose out in playing to Adam Smith who was seen as better - but has just been released to Bournemouth after failing to break through into Spurs first team squad.

Walker and Naughton werre bought a few years ago as Spurs thought they were decent options - and further forward in their development than Smith !

So in short we could have kept Clyne as a youngster !

Wouldn't mind Clyne but don't see the need at the moment

Walker/Naughton... wasn't that we wanted Walker as we thought he might be able to come inside and be a central defender in the long run? Leaving Naughton and Smith to fight it out for RB? I seem to remember that mentioned somewhere on here.

It's a good vid, exceptional for a keeper. He definately has talent but it's hard to get past the 1.84m bit. Having said that when you start thinking like for like he'd be perfect behind Lloris

I don't know who Martinez is, but he may mean Laporte, who is looking really promising.

If we lose Lloris, we absolutely must go for Perin from Genoa. We could likely get him for around €12m or so. He very well may be the best young keeper not named Courtois. He is going to be Italy's number one once Buffon steps down (or will in the least challenge Sirigu).

Could he have gotten the teams mixed up and mean Inigo Martinez from Sociedad?
