Also, we missed the boat on this one, should have picked him up from United. He has, at times, been nothing short of incredible this season.

Yassine Benzia (18, OL)
-French
-valued at 1.5m

Was second in goals behind Coulibaly at U17 world cup, seems one to keep an eye on. OL have played him at mid and striker, and the guy seems to have very good footwork and awareness.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw (21, SC Heerenveen)
-Dutch
-valued at around 3m

The guy looks like a Vertonghen/Dembele hybrid, he is ridiculously good at bringing the ball out of the defense, and at times just dribbles it all the way up and scores. He is a really fun guy to watch. Basically, he's a pretty nasty defender who has good ball skills and scores.

Also, I still think we may go back at look at RW cover over the summer to move to a 4-3-3. I could see us going for Narsingh and Feghouli, they have played well recently, and are still likely both under 10m.

This may sound like FM but I prefer to just list a bunch of players I think could make it. But, no, I haven't watched nearly enough matches of any of these player nor do I know enough about their personality traits etc etc to say for sure that this particular player has "it" to make an considerable impatc at Spurs. But there are bargains out there, look Bayern: 2 of their best players this season, Mandžukić (euro 11m) and Dante (euro 5m) were both bargain buys.

GK: Maksym Koval
CB: Dedé, Toby Alderweireld , Jeffrey Gouweleeuw , Kurt Zouma, Aymeric Laporte
LB: Lucas Digne, Bruno Martins Indi, Ricardo Rodriguez, Luke Shaw
RM: Afellay, Luciano Narsingh , Muniain
DM: Carlos Casemiro, Beñat Etxebarri, Pedro Obiang
OM: Adam Maher, Felipe Anderson, Heung-min Son, Younes Belhanda, John Eriksen, Moutinho
LM: James Rodriguez, Christian Atsu
CF: Jovetic, Benteke , Jackson Martinez , Luc Castaignos, Luis Muriel, Rodrigo Moreno, Seydou Doumbia, Wilfried Bony, Mauro Icardi, Adrian Lopez, Leo Baptistao, Victor Fischer.

PS! Jovetic, Martinez, James Rodriguez may be out of Spurs’ price range…

Anyone seen much of this guy? Been trying to.

bit late but did anyone see Lucas Moura's performance against Valencia in the champions league last week? He looked immense and judging solely on that performance, I can see why United wanted him

One guy I have noticed looks a decent prospect is Josua Guilavogui of St Etienne, still a bit raw but has a good engine, gets up and down the pitch to support attacks and get back to defend and is not just a player who gets stuck into the tackle but seems to read attacks pretty well, positions himself well and times his tackles pretty well. Don't get me wrong he's only 22 and isn't doing it as consistently as older more experienced players, but shows the quality to do so as he develops and continues to gain experience

I wouldn't say he's the CM we need, I tend to think Strootman best fits that bill, but I think he could be looking a very good player within the next couple of seasons

I notice that Mario Gomez is no longer first choice for Bayern. He's still a quality player - perhaps it might be worth making a bid in the summer?

Yeah he's a great goalscorer, his problem was that he was injured and missed a lot of early games and by the time he was fit Mandzukic had settled in and done well

He'd be a great addition

I've heard Bayern are keen on Lewandowski too - surely that would spell the end of Gomez if they signed him?

We can't afford his wages.

Is it from next season that the PL money goes up? Cld see us competiting a little better with continental clubs on wages perhaps?

Plus I imagine most would have thought we couldn't afford VDV's wages.

Mandzukic took over Gomez's spot, pushing him out. I'm not so certain Lewandowski is going to Bayern, because there is no guarantee he will start above him, either.

I sure either sammer or matthaus told the german press about lewandowski being a done deal and hoeness is really pissed off about it being public knowledge.

I know gomez scores a lot but he always looks like a donkey when I see him play plus it'll be the usual prohibitive fee and wages for him surely

Geoffrey Kondogbia (20) is a player I haven't seen that much of so I won't proclaim he's a future start but he seem to have the talent and, at 188 cm, the physique as well. I bit like Veiera in style (and again, not saying he'll be that good) and can play as DMF, CB and LB.

Not sure if been mentioned but I'm liking the look of Weiman so far. Only has 18 months on his contract and said he'd consider his options if Villa went down. I think he'd provide good competition for Lennon on the right and would be happy to bide his time at a better club at this point.
