Right everyone - I post this about twice a year and I thought it was due an update.

The main queries I have:
  • Is Hutton's contract up in 2011 or 2012?
  • (I've got a few other contract gaps as well)
  • Have Matt Wells and Chris Casey left the club?
  • Has Mpoku actually signed?
The numbers are last year's by the way.

As far as i know Chris Casey is still with us i, use to play Sunday football with him in the Walford Sunday league he did have a lot of injuries last season but in my mind he has got what it takes to make it. Good attitude tall strong very fast and excellent in the air and in the tackle started as a striker but is being converted as a CB the only bad thing i can say about him is he is a Scum fan.

I'd totally forgotten about Assou-Ekotto. I can't see him getting his chance now we have Bale, Gilberto and Lee, all seemingly ahead of him.

Also, Stalteri, Lee and Gilberto are our only players >29, our squad is so young, even ignoring the reserves and youth side.

To say we have a young squad is an understatement, when Lee/Chimbonda leave we'll only have Gilberto who is over 30 :eek:mg:

And Chimbonda. And Teemu, Rocha, and Robbo (although he may not be here much longer, of course) will turn 29 this year. But you're right, our squad is very young. If we can hold onto the good ones, then our squad will be immense in a couple of seasons.

looking at this shows how badly we need another right mid. Lennon aside the only specialist right midfielders we have (i.e their natural position) appears to be David Hutton and fraser-allen

Bentley is definitely needed. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply wrong

could be a good play if he can concentrate for a full 90 minutes.hes quick ,strong in a tackle, can get forward and cross well he also got a cracking shot on him.hes the type of player ramos goes for, maybe he can get the best out of him..

Dos Santos is a striker not a left sided midfielder.

I would say his position is SS, AM or WF.

Indeed! The guy is extremely talented. posses a technical ability not many in our team can rival. And his versality will give us plenty of options, both flanks, attacking midfielder, striker..

if he develops as expected, then we have a star on our hands.. Hell they way our squad is developing, we will have plenty of stars!

On the Spurs site he is listed as a striker.

He is versatile and I'm not sure what is his natural position. At Barcelona he always played on the wing in a 4-3-3 system. He never played as the striker but that was more because of the system rather than him not being available to play there. Add the fact that Bojan, Henry and Eto'o all played there.

So, like Flatters said, he can play behind the strikers (supposedly, never seen it), on the wing or upfront. What he is listed doesn't make that much of difference for me but I think he started out as a striker, so maybe that's his natural position.
