So with it being a few days since Mr Levy's brave comments about Sir Alex Ferguson and Rafa Benitez, message boards have been flooded with posts from spurs fans, united fans and neutral fans alike.

One thing has become apparent. I think other fans see us as a laughing stock. A constant joke in english football. More than this, it actually seems that we are a hated club.

Does anyone else get this feeling, or are we still a respected footballing establishment?

Yeah, we're a laughing stock because out chairman is willing to stick up for our club. Right.

It's abit of both, really. Most like Utd, Ar5ena1, Chavski will always hate us. You get some bindippers, who hate us as well, for no apparent reason. But yet, a few West Ham fans have come to me, and applauded the way, we've dealt with this. Their fed up with the big four, getting away with everything. And finally glad, someone is standing up to them.

We're not liked higher up the league, or by those chasing the dream, we're chasing. But i think lower down the league, we're respected. That's my take on it.

I am from leeds(yorkshire) and i have to say i wear my spurs shirt with pride and always get comments from good look this year to your my second team. I think were liked because of our young english players which we bring through.

Fans of almost all other clubs just seem to hate us. I've no idea why. Levy's statement won't have changed a thing. I just can't understand why most of them do hate us.

Its more of envy i guess, despite not playing champions league football, we r indeed a top ten football, well known through out the world, have managed to attract exciting players, loyal fan base despite not much success for last 20 years or so and etc. Worst for all our rival, we have even start playing 2nd tier european matches for last 3 consecutive years. Tell me now who doesn't envy/hate us?

most people I meet don't actively dislike Spurs but they do like winding us up cos we always seem to bite.

Most like to watch us play though. They always say when Spurs play you're likely to get a good entertaining game

 so they like teasing us and watching us  I can live with that

I think our club is generally well liked, and we will get plenty of support with the Levy statement and the like.

I think people might get annoyed by our 'big club' claims when we havent won much recently, but we get credit for fielding and buying english talent.

People hate the top 4 more than us thats for sure.

We seem to be one of the most hated teams around. God, knows why. Teams like Newcastle, West Ham, etc., just dislike us. Though, to be perfectly honest, I doubt many Spurs fans give a toss. If you support a team like Newcastle or West Ham then you are obviously missing something in the brain department so why should we hold any regard to what they say.

I think one of the main reasons why we are so disliked is because we are one of the great old clubs of England and people dislike the successful teams. If you listen to the Anfield Rap (which is a perfectly good reason why a nuclear bomb should be dropped on Liverpool, just to stop any chance of the Anfield Rap II) it mentions United, Arsenal and Tottenham, so as far as they are concerned the four big teams of England are Liverpool, United, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Love us or hate us at least they have an opinion of us, they all talk about us and the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

Consider this; everybody knows one or more Spurs fan because there are so many of us and we are spread far and wide North South East and West, if we had been successful recently that would be understandable but we haven't been and other fans can't understand why we have so many fans and that pisses some of them off.

i think teams like newcastle, are only supported in newcastle, and thats where it ends. but Tottenham are a massive club with regards to the fan base
