Another interesting article from KingSRV for those interested about Emenalo's comments and Spurs/Chelsea youth policies, worth a read, seeing as we were discussing it earlier in thread

https://changeisgoingtocome.wordpress.com/2016/05/04/elgert-emenalo-chelsea-and-spurs/

A good read - slightly overstating Spurs position in some respects whilst forgetting to mention the likes of Caulker, Livermore Townsend et al who would have emphasised his point more by showing Spurs have had a successful youth policy (measured in players getting to the first team) for maybe 5 years now.

Its a shame that we are rivals of Chelsea and they probably wouldn't deal; with us, but there a lot of talent that we could use from their youth side. The main problem though is half of them are on wages we wouldn't want necessarily even in our first team !

Thanks for posting though - interesting read as always. Haven't seen him post on here recently which is a shame as despite being a Chelsea supporter he has an excellent knowledge of youth and, as we can see from the article is very supportive of Spurs youth in all forms (except of course when they play Chelsea youth !)

Has Pritchard even played for WBA?

What was the point of this loan? It just seems to have added to what is already a massive waits of one of his key developmental years having had such a successful season at Brentford previously

I hope he can play a role in our preseason this summer and force his way in to the first team set up like Dier and the likes of Mason have in the past

he came on at ht away to newcastle just a few days after going there and he did well, he was the only player on the pitch for west brom who looked capable of doing anything. even in 15 minutes away to reading in the cup he created two great chances for them but since then he's barely played. he's being written off by most it seems but i can't believe they've actually watched him play if they think he doesn't have anything to offer us, it's vital that he's totally injury-free when pre-season starts though.

I thought I remembered reading on here that he had played at least once. I checked before posting the post you quoting and his wiki had him listed has having not played a single game

That's why I asked, thanks for taking the time to reply and confirm

NB. Good to see Tangana is back from injury - made the bench today

Do you know if he was definitely injured as I and BG were making assumptions. Would be stupid for u17s to have left him out though, as he is Englands best CB I reckon

We have Brown and Shashoua for u17s and Winks will most likely be at the Toulon tourament

i'd question the accuracy of that site ... they they have Kanes' value as £22.5m :ROFLMAO:
In terms of contract details and transfer stuff (ironic as it is called transfermarkt) it is inaccurate, but when it comes to actual playing stats- e.g. goals, assists, minutes played and positions played- it's very useful.

I don't know but despite being an excellent CB at this level he's not played a few Spurs u18 games, and then to come back on the bench is consistent with what you'd expect to see if he had been injured.

Equally missing out on the England squad, despite being a very good CB in the E year group suggests he's not been playing regularly enough due injury.

Still a surprising lack of info as to which u16's will be next year's Academy Year 1, but I assume that anyone playing after the league season has ended will either be part of next year's Academy Year 1 or one of next year's u16's (ie u15 currently).

So on that basis I'd guess that next season's Academy Year 1 will include :
Charlie Freeman;
Royn Omolabi,
TJ Eyoma,
John Dinzeyi,
Tyreik Hinds;
Nya Kirby
Tashan Oakley-Boothe
Reo Griffiths

Next Season's U16's to include :
Oliver Skipp
Phoenix Patterson
Jeremi Mukendi
Armando Shashoua
Max Statham

Not sure of age
Jamie Reynolds

Might be a couple of others in Academy Year 1 next season, eg who were injured for the Birmingham match. Had thought we might see Matthew Lock in that list too, but no sign

I imagine Reynolds is a 99 born as he has featured in tournaments for that age group. I get the impression he will be in as he is regularly playing. I hope Lock gets in, while I like Royin we have a lot of CBs and midfielders and Lock looks very good plus can play anywhere on the wings.

Brown and Shashoua on the bench. A weakened England team while under a lot pressure have helod their own and scored 2 goals the first a very good one. Mount, Dozzell, Nelson have been playing very well, all 3 are class
