Yedlin should be back early enough - Copa finals are June 26, and US will be hard-pressed to get that far...Lamela might make it that far

I also don't see anything on South Korea's schedule beyond Friendlies on June 1 and 5, so unless I am missing something, he should be here.

Plus, if Rooney and Wilshere get prominent roles with England, those lads should all be done early...

Son is going to be away with South Korea at the Olympics I think.

Edit: I see this has been answered already.

Basically our squad is going to be knackered going into the start of the season (part of why, for example, I didn't want Kane going to last summer's under 21 euros as it would kick on to next season with him being away with England this summer).

Ideally we want one of Belgium or England to get knocked out early doors. So Belgium then!

Absolutely agree.

The u21 tournament was one of the main cause to our slow start to this season (showing in our fit 4 matches being I loss and 3 draws, without that start we might well have another 6 points or more) and sadly think we will be in the same position next season due to Euros 2016 as per the timescales I put in that post

Matt Wells & Kieran McKenna are both very highly rated young coaches. They're also both ex-Spurs who didn't manage to play professionally; McKenna because of career ending injury. After retirement McKenna earned his qualifications at Lougborough Uni & managed their team with success. Wells coached at the Nike academy and was winning plaudits for his work there.

Ehiogu, I don't think, is winning friends and influencing people. I'm not sure if he had any other coaching experience before joining as U14 coach, from there he became U16 coach and from there very quickly moved up to U21 level. Its probably been too much, too quick.

McDermott is one of the most highly rated Heads of Youth Development in the country and quite possibly beyond.

Another young Spur is coaching our youth keepers in Rob Burch. Don't know how well he's doing.

There are a number of ex-pro's coaching our schoolboys but there's no way to judge their performance from the outside.

I've also heard positive things about Justin Cochrane. He seems to have been around a while coaching the younger age groups and must be of a good standard as 1)McDermott has still kept him around and 2) we have been regularly churning out talented footballers who are getting better for the last few years.

I also hear he is looked up to and works well with the young people, and, while I'm sure some won't agree, I think being a young black coach, considering the demographics and area he is working in,I think it is a positive for the players to be able to identify with someone similar to them. I think he acts as a role model, and I think he helps understand some of the issues they may come across in the sport, having also come through the academy system (not spurs), and will be able to lend an ear. I think I've written this before, but I heard for example how he encouraged Edwards to become a no.10 despite there being a lack of black/mixed race players coming through England in that position as they are traditionally stuck out on the wings. I believe he instilled the belief that he could play there, which could benefit us in the future. Just another good young coach

So Spurs u15s are currently in Gudeloupe I think they were at the same tournament last year

We drew 0-0 with Guadeloupe and then beat them on pens 4-3 and then lost 2-1 to Martinque yesterday

England u17s unfortunately lost to Sweden 2-0. Shame they are missing about 6 players that could be in the squad or first team due to either injury or their club not releasing them. Arguably one of the biggest losses will be Tanganga as I think he is their best defender, some would argue a Tanganga/Brown CB pairing would be the strongest. As it was our first goal was a mistake between Bola our CB and the keeper. Still have a chance of winning such is the strength of this group but will be a lot more difficult

Also completely fucked Pritchard's season. Got that horrible injury whilst looking England's best player, probably rushed back too soon, making it much worse and effectively writing off the first half of the season, and then that ridiculous loan to west brom.

Another interesting article from KingSRV for those interested about Emenalo's comments and Spurs/Chelsea youth policies, worth a read, seeing as we were discussing it earlier in thread

The one thing he doesn't mention in how dominant the Chelsea sides have been in youth football is how big their players tend to be. They often pick up the biggest and most physically developed youngsters, and this advantage tends to diminish going into senior football.

Has Pritchard even played for WBA?

What was the point of this loan? It just seems to have added to what is already a massive waits of one of his key developmental years having had such a successful season at Brentford previously

I hope he can play a role in our preseason this summer and force his way in to the first team set up like Dier and the likes of Mason have in the past

The same one! Tall, left footed midfielder, equality at home as a CB. Can head it, tackle & good on set pieces.

NB. Good to see Tangana is back from injury - made the bench today

Good to see that CCV is back in training in the video issued by the club - will be available for pre-season which is a definite plus for him
