Its sometimes interesting to see how the Spurs Academy education process starts at a failrly young age.

Tottenham H confirmed their participation in age group U14 and U16!

This competition held in Riga, Latvia has mostly Russian and other former soviet union countries teams playing in the tournament with a couple of 'outsiders' - in the under 16's case Vitesse (Holland) and Spurs - so the youngsters learn at a faily early age the experience of going to relatively far away 'foreign' tournaments, different ways of football etc. Years ago, the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland would have been the younsters first experience !

For those interested, the u 14s tournament is at the start of February 2013 and under 16's at end February 2013. Last season Spurs under 16's finished runners up with a team who included Harry Winks (voted best midfielder in the tournament), Emmanuel Sonupe (voted best forward in the tournament) - both are now in Spurs Academy Year 1 - and Anthony Georgiou (voted into team of the tournament) but still a year before he joins Spurs Academy Year 1.

Got into the England Squad vs Northern Ireland #yesss

So that's Luke Amos, Josh Onomah and Cristian Maghoma (younger brother of Jacques Maghoma, a former player) in the soon to be announced E u 16 squad - well done to all of them.

The 3 of them plus Harry Voss were at an England Training camp with about 40 players in August - all are younger than the new Academy Year 1. Good to see the conveyor belt of talent is contining.

Nice one, thought it might be.

I remembered the Next Gen game vs Liverpool on their TV channel last season, great to beat them after listening to the horrible Scouse commentary. Then the lucky gits went through anyway. Did the real reason for Spurs withdrawing ever come out or was it just down to the ineligible player, Bentaleb?
