I'd like to see O'Hara involved. He's been called back from Millwall so Ramos can take a look at him and he's been getting good reviews against Championship teams, which I'd imagine, standard wise, Aalborg are.

agreed. I like the sound of him and the reports on him. Nothing better than a home grown boy doing good.

i mean don't be silly he's not even registered

or he is if he's at the right age beacuse of the youth thingy rule :oops:

I work in the Capital Radio building - hundreds of Aalborg supports downstairs in Yates' & the Wetherspoons. I've just been out for a fag & had a chat with a few of them. Seem a really friendly and good-natured bunch. They've been out there boozing for about 3 hours though so by 8pm they might transform...

Yup - I've seen this list posted before and it is from UEFA. I'm not doubting you, SS57, and this does seem to be an official list.

But I thought clubs were limited to a squad of 25 players under UEFA rules, and I make that list 44!!!

Also, did the club really register the likes of Mtandari (who's a youth team player), and not Pekhart (who's a regular for the ressies)? If so, that's another reason - besides Alfonsogate - for shooting our club secretary...

Eddie posted something about youth players who have been with us a certain amount of time being automatically eligible, but I can't remember the exact rubric.

Yeah, it's 25 players PLUS youth players that has been with us for two years or more (I think).

Thanks to oyveke & SS57 for clarifying this. I'm 90% convinced!

My one issue is that O'Hara signed for us when he was about 17, so you'd think UEFA would count him as homegrown youth (as opposed to say Pekhart who we signed from the Czechs). Of course the explanation for O'Hara's absence is most likely that he was away on loan. But then Ifil is eligible according to the UEFA list. All a tad confusing...

I think O'Hara is to old to be legible. Not quite sure what the age limit is though. Same goes for Ifil

Not sure. I think the problem may be that they have had loan spells. To qualify under the youth rule the club has to have held their registration continuously for two years.
