I almost hate to say it because I was such a huge fan of BMJs but today we saw the difference. Ramos knows what to do tactically when things are going badly and he isn't afraid to make early substitutions.

Brave again from Ramos at half-time. My suspicion is that Jenas was sacrificed because he wanted to put an extra striker - Bent - on, and drop Berba into the hole, and he wanted to put the Hud on as a CM passer. So, Ramos presumably considered Zokora the better option as a CB stepping into DM and attacking the ball. And off came JJ. Almost certainly not what BMJ would done...

Completely agree JS. I was so sad when Jol left, and because I was such a Jol fan, it was always going to take something decent to prove to me Ramos was the man to take us forward.... well I have to say, I'm a believer already...

Hmmm - Gus saying in post-match interview that JJ had a knock, so he had to come off. I wonder if he would have put the Hud on anyway - eg for Zokora - if JJ hadn't been injured?

Quite possibly, but Zokora was a completely different player in the second half—again. :shrug:
