Is that Harry Hotspur? that nutcase has been an apologist for Archway since day 1
A self confessed American with a "rudimentary understanding of American law and ... much more rudimentary understanding of English law"

It's just a nobody blowing off steam...

The stadium will serve the betterment of the community because it will be the catalyst to the ongoig associated development not to mention that a new stadium is essential to the club's future and we will have one somewhere, elsewhere if necessary which will be to the detriment of the community.
Without doubt it will be of more benefit to the community than Archway sheet metal works which is a valid point.
All of which is irrelevant because the appeal is not about that, it is about the SoS decision and whether he took it properly, the judge may disagree with his decision but as long as it was taken properly thats all he can do, disagree, he can't overrule. Archway's case is nebulous to say the least and bollox to be specific.

Does anyone know what will happen if Archway win the appeal and Spurs don't get to build the new stadium. Spurs have pumped an awful lot of money into the development so far. Does the land value stack up against the investment?

If Archway win, it doesn't mean that we won't be able to build the stadium, it just means we can't force them to sell. That means we'd have to pay what they demand or walk away. Which is precisely why they're appealing.

The guy who is in the court suggested that the document showed in court hinted that the stuff in the Times Article was true.

The only documents I've seen mentioned are the ones suggesting that we have naming rights agreed but not announced. Can you point me to the info you refer to?

Been trying to keep up with this today but might as well have been in another language. Is the general consensus based on today that Archway do not have much of a case or is it that optimistic?

Big day for us tomorrow.

I'm not sure there was anything there that we weren't aware of. From a tactical point of view, I think the QC for SoS will be happy he got to speak at the end of the day. AM QC managed to stretch that out without really adding a lot.

Anyway, without having to put a Nightwatchman in, I expect us to go after the old ball in the morning and smash them about in the sunshine.

COME ON YOU CRICKETS.

Been following this. Can't see they have much of a case, it was clutching at straws somewhat and then SoS is basically saying the same decision would have been made whatever. They really need to just give up the ghost.

I don't think there's any possibility they will rebuild their burnt out factory.

Worse case is that Haringey will maybe have to offer them 4 or 5 x market value (their demand is reportedly 10 x market value) blood money for the land, and they'll pass on the extra cost to us

It would just end up being burned down again.
This is all about getting more money that Levy & Co offered to get them out of the way.
To be fair to them, I'd probably do the same thing!
