Just heard from a paramedic, he was taken straight to the chest hospital in central london and has apparently died.

As i say, i've heard this third hand, from a paramedic who's been in contact with the medic on the job at the Lane. From the sounds of it she said it was unlikely they managed to revive him at all, but until it's announced as confirmed, it's only a rumour, no matter how much i trust my source, remember that.

Thanks for passing this on RSS. I really hope that info is just rumour rather than fact.

It happened to my cousin. Just died one night in his sleep aged 20.

Arsenal have released a statement via twitter saying their thoughts are with Muamba and his family.

I found my best mate dead at his home 6 years ago, same thing. 26 years old

My wife's sister died of a heart condition walking off a bus.

My wife and 3 boys go to great Ormandy street every 3 months for tests on a condition known as arvd. Rare thing, horrible.

Thoughts with him and his family.

  1. David Pleat on BBC Radio 5 live: "The St Johns Ambulance, a voluntary organisation, attend football matches at every level to make sure players are looked after. They do a wonderful job and the work they did tonight was admirable."

Really hope he pulls through, my thoughts are with him and his family. My mate text me to say that don't know if it is true but Defoe tried to give him CPR, anyone else heard this?
