Well I had planned on talking about what Ramos and Co were going to do to turn things around. Well thanks to the club and me having an early night I guess that idea is out the window. So it's Harry RedKnapp that is no our manager, at least Jamie might be nice to us now.

The Official Site Team News:

Tom Huddlestone, Vedran Corluka and Roman Pavlyuchenko are back in contention for Sunday's match with Bolton Wanderers.

Tom has returned to full training after missing the trip to Udinese with a knee injury, while Roman and Vedran are available again after being cup-tied for Thursday's UEFA Cup tie.

Gareth Bale and Michael Dawson will miss the visit of Gary Megson's side due to suspension.

Skysports.com Preview:

Spurs have stumbled through the worst-ever start to a league season in their history, having taken just two points from their opening eight games, and look utterly devoid of ideas as to how to stop the rot.

Their Uefa Cup defeat to Udinese on Thursday only served to add to their woes with goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes adding another gaffe to his early-season collection.

Statistics

Bolton manager Gary Megson is unlikely to care one iota about the predicament facing his opposite number and will be focused solely on lifting the Trotters further away from the drop zone.

Last season's relegation battle remains fresh in the memory for many at the Reebok Stadium and just two wins from their opening eight games sees them just one point above the bottom three.

It is said you can prove anything with statistics, but the evidence mounting up against Tottenham is damning to say the least, and with games against Arsenal and Liverpool looming on the horizon Ramos has little room to manoeuvre.

Spurs have won none and lost five of their last eight league games at White Hart Lane, they have not led at any point in their last nine Premier League matches, have scored with just six per cent of their attempts on goal this season and, most worryingly, have three fewer points than Derby did at this stage last term.

Team news

Gareth Bale and Michael Dawson are suspended after their red cards in the defeat at Stoke, while Vedran Corluka will need a late check after his worrying head injury at the Britannia Stadium saw him hospitalised.

Jonathan Woodgate was substituted against Udinese with an apparent groin problem, Ledley King is usually unable to play twice in the space of a few days, Tom Huddlestone has been out with a knee complaint and Gomes is playing at a level some way below the one which saw Paul Robinson dropped and shipped out this summer.

Roman Pavlyuchenko was ineligible for European duty but will need a fitness test on his ankle injury with Spurs in desperate need of an answer to their goal-scoring woes.

Megson has also seen his Bolton side struggle in front of goal, but will stick with his strike partnership of Johan Elmander and Kevin Davies for the trip to North London.

The Trotters drew a blank last time out in their home stalemate against Blackburn and record signing Elmander has just one goal to show following his move to the Reebok Stadium.

The Sweden international spent time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury earlier in the season and Megson is confident the goals will begin to flow once Elmander receives more support from midfield.

Possible starting XIs

Tottenham: Gomes, Hutton, Corluka, Woodgate, Zokora, Modric, Jenas, O'Hara, Giovani, Bent, Paylyuchenko.

Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, O'Brien, Cahill, Samuel, McCann, Nolan, Muamba, Taylor, Davies, Elmander.

Interesting Stats:

Us

Lost the last three in all competitions - their longest losing sequence of the season so far.

Drawn two and lost six of their eight Premier League matches this season.

Not scored more than a single goal in any of the last 15 league matches; a league high.

Netted just one goal in the last four league outings.

Just sacked the first team coaching staff and Sporting Director.

Them

Gained one victory in eight league and cup matches.

One of four clubs averaging a point a game in the Premier League; eight in eight.

One of two clubs to have scored a goal a game on average in the highest league; eight in eight.

Picked up only their third win in 26 away Premier League games with a 1-3 triumph on their most recent trip, to West Ham on 5 October.

marvellous, actually slightly optomistic about todays game fro the first time in ages. Redknapp will imo be great, exactly who I wanted :)

We're still in trouble. We didn't get any new strikers. We didn't get a midfield general. We still don't have any confidence. I'm hopeful, but not optimistic.

nice team but i think 2 strikers is what we need, bent, campbell and Pav are all fit so why the hell shouldnt we play with 2 up front and let bentley whip the crosses in.

You're probably right. If 2 up then I'd drop Lennon from my 11 slot modric to the left and put in Pavman
