Unreal first half watching with a utd fan lol don't worry I've not been smug. We need next goal or 2 so I can relax. Hope that Kane chance doesn't come back to bite us.

Trips has done well, fair play.

Eric Dier was sensational that half. Winning the ball, using it wisely and creatively when needed and controlling the midfield with Moose.

I hope those people who like to bring out the diatribe against him after one mistake remember the games like this (of which there have been many) where he is excellent.

Really don’t get the Dier hate on here. It’s a cardinal sin to say, but to me he offers so much more going forward than Wanyama (who I also rate!)

Nah - he seems a fraction off. Shots are not as crisp - trying to do too much at times.

The shots are off because he is having to wrestle to get the chance so he is off balance. For my money Kane's first half performance is a text book example of a lone forward stamping his impression on the game.

Superb 45 mins there but they are not out of this, they look dangerous everytime they go forward and we are also playing against the ref too...

We could really have done with a 3rd goal but if we can keep this up for another 45 mins and get out with the 3 points I will be delighted.....

come on lads, big 45 - keep it up as this be huge before Anfield.

I mean you are technically correct, it's not Kane's best match in his career... But he has played great so far.
I wonder if the 100 thing is on his mind and overthinking it. I reckon he’ll get it tonight though.

Mourinho wishes Lukaku played like Kane is today.

Now I'm really nervous.
I was nervous at the start
even though they are playing poorly
and we are playing well
I'm still nervous.
Next goal boys.

I'm still shocked that everyone who commented on the penalty Hoddle, Owen and Poll didn't say it was a stone waller. He scissored him and went completely through him. What a shocking decision!!!

Everyone has been superb, Dier needs to to show this aggression and composure against the smaller clubs and Tripps is finally showing what he can do after a real up and down season. Some of Eriksens use of the ball has been sublime and Kane's forward play is world class and great to see Dele with that amazing movement and desire that's been lacking at times this year.

First 15/20 of the 2nd half is vital. Keep it tight and try bag another.

Im worried we will take our foot off the gas and start slow.

They won't be as useless after half time, so would have been nice to have a third goal, but really happy with how we played that half.

Dier was brilliant 1st half.

Cant help but feel Alli despite his industrious play wasted far too many opportunities to create goals with his delayed responses.

Son was below par and has been last few games.

Kane as well. Hes trying too hard to get that 100 goal mark. His shots have not been hit with his usual composure.

Overall though splendid performance especially from Dier, Verts, Dembele and Eriksen.

I think wanyama is a better dm than dier overall, but dier gives us the flexibility to switch from 4 at the back to 5 at any moment without losing any balance or quality, which is something really really special
