Harry needs 3 goals to equal Shearers calendar year goals record.

Hopefully four or five before year end ....

Much needed result.
Think our great run last season started with a home hammering against Swansea hopefully we can do the same from now.

Just took a look at the match report and table to see how things stood after we beat Swansea 5-0 last year.

This comment stood out for me;

"Spurs' win - just a second from their past 11 games - keeps Mauricio Pochettino's side in fifth, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City."

Recovered from that pretty well last season too. Really need to beat Brighton and hopefully put a mark down on City.

Why is stoppage time still a thing. Just stop the game clock, completely kills time wastingcheating too
I think the main reason is that the ball isn't in play for anywhere near the whole match, so you'd have to get rid of the idea of matches lasting 90 minutes - the ball is on average in play for just 55 minutes in a 90 minute plus stoppage time match. Since this is slightly reduced by time wasting you could reasonably make matches last an hour with a stop clock, but that doesn't sit well with many people.

Have to say, i never would have thought Son would be our best AM this year. But he really is out performing Eriksen and Dele and by some way. He looks a yard quicker than last year and super confident, he has to be the first AM on the team sheet these days. Fair play to the guy, really battled to get in the team and showing his worth. Superb again today.

Dele for me still really isn't at it, i know people will say he is assisting etc, but fuck, he is so sloppy with the ball, passes to the other team or off the pitch countless times, silly flicks in the middle of the park where we get caught and the other team counters, poor decisions. He's in serious trouble of losing his starting spot and i don't think many could argue against it.

Finally, how beautiful is it to have Lamela back..... no one in our team comes close to weight of pass as this guy. His technique, first time passing and movement are great to see back out there. That pass over the top for Kane in the 90th minute, no one else in our team can do that. I'm glad he's back to push Eriksen (and link with him) and give Dele a much needed kick up the arse.

Well, I don't think it was particularly good to concede so late. Why didn't they stay focused? That's attitude can lose them a trophy. I think the book lost Pochettino the dressing room.

Didn't get to see any of the game today, how was Lamela when he came on?
