The lack of a goal tonight will do for us, IMO. I can see us potentially getting a score draw at their place, but I can't see us winning in Amsterdam under any circumstances. Want to, but I just don't believe we have it in us with the injuries we have.

That’s 4 defeats in 5 matches, again.

Our recent form has been shockingly, shockingly bad. Unforgivably bad.
This squad has been pushed well beyond its limits. Just have to hope we can limp across the finish line.

I think I’ve seen enough to say that we can still go through.

They played us at the right time. Kane and or son playing and we win tonight.

I think that was desperately disappointing for the most part. Yeah some are a bit tired, yeah we're a bit depleted, but that wasn't good enough.

Especially for the first 30 or so minutes we had no urgency, no intensity, not switched on and just not ready for this game. And that wasn't one or two of them, it was eight or nine of them. Add to that tactically we were getting done and it was lucky it was only 1-0.

Second half I cant really say was much better. We shored things up a bit, Ajax seemed to tighten up a little and focus on keeping what they'd got... We didn't get going though bar a couple of brief spells and I cant really say we were hammering at the door and putting them under intense pressure.

And then there's the subs, sometimes try and get creative. Yeah I'm sure most of you will say 'what did we have to change it' etc etc, but try and make something out of what you do have...... Our only foothold into the game seemed to be a direct ball and playing off the knockdowns a lot of the time and was an area we could compete, so why not say get Dier or someone up front for the last 10-15 mins and really test them out in the air. Instead Poch just goes with ultra bland like for like and arguably brings on more defensive fullbacks when really we needed to get something from the game.

Just looks like we've hit a wall now. Not looking forward to these last few games, maybe I'll get a delightful surprise but if they couldn't find that little bit extra tonight, when?

Well we have to go for it second leg so we know what mindset we have to adopt.

That being said, we are so utterly bereft of finding the right pass in the final third it's tragic.

Moura & Sissoko have been our best players today with Rose not far behind.

Rose is a headless chicken. I can't remember the last time he put in a decent cross. Low expectations when he has the ball ready to cross.

We need some cute and clever footballers in our team that know how and when to pass/cross.

Not a bad result considering the players we have missing. Was always gonna be tough but that first 30min were poor. No pressing or closing down at all. The crossing was pathetic from everyone. Alli doesnt look fit. He's a yard off the pace. Eriksen was missing. Trippier was embarrassing as was Sanchez. Sissoko, fk me what a player he's become.
We can win but I think Poch has some big decisions to make.
4 at the back. Sanchez bench. Trippier bench. Wanyama bench. Llorente bench. Alli, foot up the arse.
And I do wish Poch would stop subbing the players that seem to be causing the opposition the most problems when its obvious there are guys out there having a shocker.
