No point keeping Skipp on in the second half if Brentford are going to be camped in deep. Yes Deki has been poor, but for me would move him into the 8 role and bring Johnson on for Skipp and tell him to hold the width. Will open Brentford up massively.

God we struggle against the low block, we seem out of ideas. Also, that high line petrifies me! Have we become that predictable?

Test for Ange now. 45 mins to fix this. No clue what I’d do myself. We’re light on options but we’re toothless in the final third.

This is where we really need a wide player who commits 2 or 3 players. We just can't pull their players out of defence. Also another reason I would like a proper number 9 to get the ball into and play off. I would look to get Johnson on and tell him to play wide and run on the outside. Same for Werner on the left, just be more direct on the outside to pull the wide centre backs across.

His link up play and approach has been good.

Crossing not so much

I actually think he's been bright, has looked better than Kulusevski. Only issue is that he clearly can't cross with his left foot, so all his good work to beat a man on the outside is redundant. I'd be tempted to move him to the right and put Johnson on the left.

Werner on the left cutting in against a side sat back I don't think is gonna yield much success. I don't think he's cultured or cute enough of a player to play effectively without that space ahead of him and of the side of his weaker foot.

The fact that Maupay fluked that goal and completely swung and missed with his striking foot and then had the absolute audacity to mimic Maddison’s celebration is fucking cringey.

So with that said, I hope someone turns his shin into an L shape.

Shades of Wenger's Arsenal - always trying to score the perfect goal.

Need to mix it up much more in the final third.

Something my gooner supporting mate said about after watching us a few weeks ago ( and not in a gloating way, he’s one of rare breed of reasonable gooners).

Shocked at the number of people calling for Werner to come off. Been comfortably the best of the front three for me. Kulu would be the first I'd hook.

I'd love to replace Richarlison as well but we don't have a replacement.
Think it's more the fact that he's best when he can run in behind and Brentford are playing too deep for that to really be exploited.

Richarlison job in this set up against this opposition is hold up and its been iffy
It's not been iffy it's been non existent.
Just imagine if someone like Toney was playing there.
I'm not saying I want Toney I'm saying we need someone with a centre forwards ability to do that.

It'll certainly open us up!

Need to get a couple of shots away, if even they're long range. Give them something else to think about other than clogging up the box.

Atleast skipp have the stamina. Madison and benta are not match sharp yet. Would be a huge risk to take him off for the start of 2nd half

We are allowing them to be compact, we need to pull them about the pitch abit more, create the space to run into.

you know what else fucks me off, players in the 5th highest club in English football that cross the ball worse than players on a fraction of their wages, pro's can't cross anymore.

I'd have to see it again (don't really want to) but pretty sure Toney said in his ear for them to do the celebration

I thought Richy was the best to be honest given limited service. Probably had our cleanest strike

Main thing is our tactics not working at all today, more variety and width needed.
