why the fuck is hoddle saying the players will question Ange - FFS - to dare is to do & Ange showed everyone what that actually means! We didn't roll over today and we made chelsea look average for large parts of that game. Had we kept out discipline we would have won easily & that's what the players should take away - always stay disciplined & keep our heads in the game which will allow our style of play to put away teams.

Disappointed to lose today but HELL proud of the players & the effort they showed. I've never seen a spurs side like this before and I'm so excited about what the future looks like as we develop more facets in our tactics and playing style. COYS COYS COYS!!
Hoddle who? Just watch the Beckham documentary - I leave it there

I agree with Hoddle too. Playing that high line with 9 men is dumb. Liverpool had 9 against us and we struggled to break them down and got an OG in added time. Chelsea were able to walk goals in here because we played at the halfway line with 2 men fewer and no pressure on the ball. Just dumb.
we had no more cbs and defenders to bring on pool played with 5 cbs

Say a fb post pre game about the team being 95% strength first team (bentancur as the last 5%) - oh how that aged. We've just lost 60% of our back line - 80% if vicario suffers from concussion and maddison too - all in one game lol.

Came at the worst time as well with the upcoming fixtures but let's see if the fringe players step up.

I am devastated. We have had 3 points in our pocket. Now Romer is banned for 3 games, VDV is injured for 2 months. We don't have the defenders to play the high line. Udogie misses the next game. With our bench, it is a complete disaster

Talks absolute bollocks sometimes, especially about us.

Disagree slightly.

He allowed Chelsea players to get away with an awful lot of niggly fouls early on and gave the same against us. He lost control of the game as well and had he blown for the foul on Romero before the kick out then he doesn't get sent off. Romero should really have calmed himself down though too.

If he's still on the pitch Mickey doesn't get injured.
And Recce James should have been off, if not booked. Little decisions here and there were not corrected and even Sarr was booked. He had a huge hand in affecting the dynamics of the game.

A very poor official. He will have been singled out for criticism if we were Liverpool or scum tonight.

You said we should have got one of their players sent off. Whether that’s within our control is obviously debatable but even if we accept your premise you are saying we need to wise up because the officials failed to do their job. That’s not within our control, it should have been 10 v 10
The elbow was adjudged (with VAR) not to have been intentional or significantly dangerous to warrant a red. Either way this is your talking point. My point is we needed to be smarter individually to even things up and tactically as a team. We made that way too easy for a team which is absolutely shite with players who are horrendously struggling for form. Rather than using some smarts to maybe grind out a draw.

Sure credit to the players for giving their everything and playing with such heart despite such an absurd high line even with 9 v 11 and some terribly slow players in the back. But I'd have no qualms celebrating a hard fought point by shutting them out at 1-1.

We'd all be laughing our arses off at Chelsea right now.

Hard to review a game like that. It was totally bonkers.

We started really strong despite Chelsea's press.

We then started to make a few silly mistakes when being pressed and fly into tackles. That was the period we needed someone to have a word and tell players to just calm down.

Chelsea's high energy would have lessened and we have plenty in the tank to give back.

We have general had games where we had a period in the first half where we lose possession close to goal a bit too easily. But we alwyas come through it and dominate the second half.

Unfortunately, the red card screwed us for that and going down to 9 basically ended the contest, from there it was just about heart

Ange is bold and brave. Tonight was gutting but this is a freak result. Our reserves showed us tonight we can play great football with some of our star men off the field. Let’s see what this team is really made of now. 3 games out for Romero might not be the worst thing.

Ange.....

On playing with a high line down to nine men: "It is just who we are mate, it is who we are and who we will be for as long as I am here. If we go down to five men we will have a go."

My. Manager.
He's going to do great things here.
