Sorry if posted before, but geez, RBL is really a detestable club.
Yeah very weird club, especially as he fecked off during the CL knockouts for them.

Dele at his best though?Lamela is such a busy player, you'll never have to worry about lack of effort from him. Last night, I thought he was very good but at the same time, very frustrating - holding on to the ball too long. He did deserve his goal, however, after his immense work rate. Credit where it is due for him.
Aurier and Dier, I both thought, looked good. Not a fan of Aurier but busy up that right side and looked confident.
Reguilon showed the pace we want to see for a LWB when he made the great tackle.
Real only downside was 1. the slow start (The first half, we were very poor, I don't know what happened but we started playing very well second half) 2. Bergwijn looks like a tank but is far from that... He gets bounced off the ball too easily and should be more direct with his pace. Confidence and growth, I am sure, to come.
Good win with our busy schedule and very nice not to see Dele anywhere near the team.
Dele at his best though?
Still can't believe you haven't heard whyStill can't believe Werner didn't step up...
Lamela's productivity, in term of minutes played to goal and assist is actually perfectly reasonable. As I've shown loads of times. While Lucas' productivity was actually very good in 18/19. I don't think either should start most games but think they are players that offer something to the club. You always get the effort from Lamlea, but you rarely get the end product (goals / assists), as mentioned he holds onto the ball too long which more often leads to losing possession. I don't dislike him, but we need upgrades on the likes of him and Lucas if we have genuine aspirations of winning the league.
Still can't believe you haven't heard why
haha, I trust you won't be letting him forget it any time soonOh I knew why, I text my Chelsea mate as soon as it was over last night and his response wasn't too kind.
Still a bit sore today, won't even acknowledge the game
haha, I trust you won't be letting him forget it any time soon
Honestly, you wouldn’t want Dele playing his best football?Dele at his best though?
I know. My post was a response to the previous poster who felt we need to upgrade on him. I’m not so sure that is correct lol. This is unbelievable, he did miss a few opportunities to pass, yes! But the rest of his work last night was phenomenal.
Of course I’d like him to make those decisions to pass before he holds the ball too long but if he made the perfect decision every time he’d be a £100m footballer. Ever player will have a few wrinkles to iron out. There are very very few perfect players
Lamela was exceptional last night, man of the match for me. Really set the tone. This clearly stood out in the first half as almost Everyman dropped further and further back to let Chelsea have free run of the park.
He’s pushing starting XI for me, easily a playing sub if not.
effort, desire, work rate, genuinely caring exactly what we need. And to be fair what we saw from the whole team second half on last night.
Imagine Dele, with that level of commitment!
@SlotBadger two in a week.Honestly, you wouldn’t want Dele playing his best football?
Excellent post. Spot on.I know. My post was a response to the previous poster who felt we need to upgrade on him. I’m not so sure that is correct lol.
I’ve championed Lamela for a long time on here, though I do admit I was starting to have doubts. What I was actually trying to say was that he can’t be judged on his ability to release the ball when the movement in front of him isn’t that great, he can’t pass to players if they’re not showing for the pass. However, if the movement improves, players do show for the pass and he’s STILL holding onto the ball too long, then questions about his ability to release at the right time are justified in being asked.
FWIW, I too thought he was immense last night.
To be fair, I can see why you interpreted it the way you did. Not my most articulate postExcellent post. Spot on.
(will read make sure I read in context next time)
Effort, desire, work rate = exactly why we don't win trophies - we are hapy to settle for that when it is the end product that gets results. This is unbelievable, he did miss a few opportunities to pass, yes! But the rest of his work last night was phenomenal.
