As Conte just said you play yhis game 10 times we might win once. Either improve, or forget about competing at the top!

Ha
Baffles me how Conte keeps putting Doherty at LWB? At the very least put Davies there and stick Rodon at LCB. Every time he had the ball Chelsea knew he was coming inside to use his right. Such an easy thing to defend.
he didn’t play Doherty as a lwb today. We spent most of the game as a 442 with Davies as a LB and Doherty as a LM.

I get all that, and I don't really disagree with any of it. Thing is right now we have the best manager we could possibly have and he has to be given time to turn it around. He's told us there is no quick fix and everyone was pretty unanimously applauding his honesty just a few days ago. Then less than a week later there is a full blown melt down after losing to the European champions.
Melt down is more to do with the lack of ambition from the owners and the fans trust in them to turn it around with investment

Dier is probably the best free kick taker in this squad, which isn't saying much. The fact that he has been given a few in recent games suggests that he has shown this in training. I was hoping it spelt the end of Kane taking them, but heh.... As always the commentators get all excited when Kane lines one up, as if he has ever actually scored one (a single deflection aside I believe?)... but then again, according to them all he is also the captain....

Conte needs to take FK away from Kane. It’s becoming pathetic.
It doesn't really seem set in stone, numerous people seem to take our freekicks game by game and Kane dibs the prime ones around the box. Ultimately others need to step up and find their character/voice, otherwise Kane will just assume and dominate the situations.

Tonight we had Moura out there, pretty sure he's netted a couple of freekicks in recent times, we had Winks out there who put in several decent deliveries at the weekend plus scored... Two possible candidates. If they want to have a go and back themselves they need to tell the others to fuck off, tell Kane he hasn't scored one in about a decade, tell Lo Celso he's got the kicking power of a toddler... If others don't back themselves, show some personality, and step forward it won't change. They might not be any good either, but we won't find out.

We were awful on so many levels.

Chelsea took the piss and made us look stupid.

Beat Arsenal and all is forgiven.

Hopefully now Chelsea will stop signing our targets as they won't be worried about us catching them

Is anyone fuming that kane clearly didn't know the offside rule? He had no need to move beyond kepa

Footballers are so thick

I hope this is British humor that I'm missing out on.. Kane wasn't offside by that much. in a moment like that you aren't necessarily looking at the lines that closely exactly because the goalkeeper is out

And yet for 90+ million he scored none.

Can you not see how pointless this statement actually is when you are saying how we've wasted money?
Yep bang on. Chelsea have wasted way more than we have. Kepa was what £70mil! Werner£60mil and so on. The difference is if they get it wrong they have millions more to try again straight away whereas we do not.

Yeah I'm honestly finding some of the comments in here beyond pathetic.

Everyone knows the situation. Conte himself has said we are lacking in player quality, we need to be patient and this is not going to be fixed in one transfer window. It's pathetic how a few days later there's a complete meltdown after losing 2-0 and then 1-0 to the current European champions. I honestly believe we don't deserve the likes of Conte actually trying to turn things around. It's truly laughable how spoilt we've become as a fan base it really is.
First bit of the post is great, 2nd bit not needed mate.

Don’t think our fans are spoilt just tired of the same mistakes and also some of them not being mean but don’t understand football to the deep level so might not always see the big picture, they will see it in time once FP & AC have had Jan and summer to sort out the squad we’ll be a lot
Stronger.

I'm convinced that managers communicate to players, explicitly or not, that there are certain games they aren't worried about winning. Conte will want to be in the Champions League next year. Our chances of achieving that are slightly better that we now don't have a Carabao Cup final to distract us from our top 4 quest. I'm expecting a significantly improved performance against Arsenal.
