Lennon has done pretty well on this tour, although some will struggle to accept that lol
Nothing to do with struggling to accept it,

he was poor against Seattle(our worst attacking player tbh) but that was our first game and against our hardest opposition, so fair enough
He played well against Toronto and got involved more then we have seen from him in years
Today he looked lost at times but then had some very good moments

By the same definition, Cebellos has done well in this tour and Rose has been one of our best defenders

From the players on this tour this would be my starting 11 if we had a premier league match tomorrow-
Friedel

Naughton Kaboul Fryers Rose

Capoue Holtby

Lennon Eriksen Lamela

!

Kane scores twice and 1 assist and he is not in the team?

Has Townsend got slower since the start of last season or is just me? Looks like he's chugging along rather than gliding like he did last year.

Made me laugh during the World Cup when he was a pundit and he reckoned he'd have Robben in a race?!!!
Yes he has got slower because he was at peak fitness then and he is now coming back from an injury and has just had his third period of playing in a training match. He is like shit off a shovel when at full match fitness.

Soldado's been brilliant so far in pre-season. That chest pass then through ball for Lennon last night was great.

I keep saying this guy can play across the 3 as well up front.

In some games I'd like to see..

Soldado Eriksen Lamela

Ade
..with everyone interchanging.

Thought it was a typical tour friendly.

Capoue and Rose showed well.
Ben D. looked competent.
Lamela looked good.

Daws looked far better........

But its a friendly people....

*takes a deep breath*
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL

I used to love listening to Jonathan Pearce on the radio and then he goes to TV and is the same old boring, boring, boring English comm. But it seems that is what the majority wants..like the complaints about PMQs.

I agree but the only thing is, this was the worst team I think we played. They were abit more solid but they were poor going forward

The one person I thought did really well was mason. Seemed so composed on the ball. Don't think he lost possession once? Correct me if I'm wrong

They were OK, a typical MSL team some young pace merchants but lacking quality in key areas.

They broke quickly on us which was a good exercise for Poch.
Poch is a delight, a man with who keeps his own council. :)

Tongue and cheek, not totally serious...calm down lol

Bit disappointed overall with these three games. We should be beating them by at least 3 clear goals.

You do know that
a) They are in the middle of their season ( so fully fit) and we are in preseason?
b) We are not playing a full strength side - How many of the starters would actually start the 1st game of the season? Poch still finding out what he has inherited and how best to play them.
c) This is a Friendly - We will not be playing at full throttle because no one wants to get injured in the build up to the new season.

Just watched the Lennon goal again- I didn't realise how good the one-touch play from Soldado and Lennon was!
