Rose best 1st half player then Mason for me .... Poo

Lamela had our best moments but was one of our worst players

edit: Townsend was the worst

Townsend wastes chance to create 1v1, Kane wastes chance to create 1v1, Walker had acres of time and space, whacks the ball straight at the first defender.

Welcome to HeaddownSpursworld Poch.

Welcome to BCworld Poch, where endless complaints are made about the same players game after game because sometimes they make the wrong decision.

Lamela is a year younger than Townsend, yet their footballing brains couldn't be further apart.

Thank fuck we didn't "/thread" eh ? You wouldn't have been able to bitch about Townsend either.

Rose is a red card waiting to happen with the way he tackles, he's cost us before and i wouldnt be surprised if he does again.

Might be cynical of me but the pass Townsend played to Lamela when he was through was really reluctant and unconvincing, almost like he played it out of moral obligation and didn't care either way if it was successful or not.

Real selfish player and I would happily sell him on the basis of him being young and British, ergo overpriced in today's market in relation to ability.

Haha, I loved the battle between Rose and the dude with the ugly pigtails!

Overall I liked what I saw! Mason looks like a really decent player, looks a lot better than Carroll. Lamela looked bright again, Holtby looked good apart from a 10-15 minute spell where he misplaced a few easy passes.

The only negative part was Townsend, oh my... As soon as he gets the ball he either makes a way to hard pass or runs down a blind alley. At this moment I'd rather keep Lennon than Townsend.

At least Lennon blended in ok with the interchanging in the first half the other night. Yeah Townsend scored but he frustrates me even more.

mason and lamela looking good, i like vejkovic and capoue too! rose had a good half but i can see why player would love to smack him! townsend has had a stinker and holtby is having one of those days since the goal.... all in all average but im looking forward to hopefully the second half in which we have some more intelligent aware players coming on in forward positions.

I'm not writing off Townsend in any way shape or form. Lamela's clearly a better player though.

Can't be bothered to argue with you BC. Pointless exercise.

Somehow I don't see Townsend or Kane being part of any team aspiring for the top 4.
Kane is 20. I'm pretty sure a top 4 team can have Kane as a 3rd striker option in a system that only uses 1 striker.

Not to mention he has 1G and 1A with only having played one and a half games.

Tidy but far from spectacular.

Goal was thanks to Holtby's quick thinking who's otherwise been pretty quiet.

Lamela looking really positive just hasn't quite come off for him.

Mason-Capoue axis looking solid and smooth. Both great passers/controllers of the ball.

Kane should have found a better pass and Townsend would have had a great chance.

Still liking the pressing and movement. As the commentator said still another 12 players to add to this tour mix.

Liking Velkjovic. Rose and Walker have done their jobs. Dawson just looks so nervous on the ball you expect him to fall over half the time.
