Much prefer now
for the opposition to go ahead early
so we are forced to come out and play
so that when we equalise
we at least have momentum.

If we go ahead early
its early closing day
and we drift to a draw.
despite a hectic but unsuccessful last ten minutes.

The relegation strugglers were the better team last night.
I hope we win the Carabao
then Jose can fuck off
with his head held high
and we can get back
to playing some football

These the lyrics to Chas n Dave's latest posthumous single?

I genuinely don't enjoy watching us anymore and i can't seem to change the feeling. Maybe it's all of these lockdowns, but we're not a fun team to watch anymore.

Great goal by Harry though and what a ball by Regulion.

bUt We SaT bAcK.

Ive seen this stat put up loads of times and it is very misleading as i believe it includes the Son header and Kane header in the first half as expected goals. Both of these would have been ruled out for offside if they had gone in.

Im really amgry about last night. Maybe we were sucked in by Fulhams moans and reacted with a poor performance.
They couldnt have played any better.
Its really not good enough, no matter how Jose paints it up. Its an awful football style and saddens me when I watch (even when we win). I get no joy at all from watching a game and thats sad as football should be entertaining.

Based on how Fulham approached the game I'd rather Parker was our manager than Mourinho.
I'd love for Scotty to manage us one day, he got some criticism in the Championship despite the promotion but seems to be getting a real tune out of this Fulham side now. I don't think his name will be the first on the block the day we sack Mourinho though, it'll be longer away than that.

Wow... Just wow, really.
And yet it is precisely that group of players that managed 6-1 at Old Trafford and stufffed City and Arsenal 2-0, and had 3 golden opportunities to beat Liverpool.
Mourinho can set the team up, create a game plan and tell the players how to execute it. But what he cannot do is put the ball in the back of the net for them.
I'm not blind, I know we are frustrating to watch. But the players must know by now that they WILL get opportunities to score.
SO DO IT!

Thank god for Kane and Son. Those two can blow teams away in an instant. But over 30 games, we cannot rely on just those two. The engine room of the team is midfield, and would any manager wanting to build a title winning team buy any of Winks, Sissoko, Lucas, Lamela, Bergwyn, Lo Celso or Ndombele?

Honest grafters I'm sure, but Winks and Sissoko just don't have the passing range to unlock teams; Lamela, Bergwyn and Lucas are supposedly more attack minded, but they don't score enough or create enough; and in terms of being able to thrive in the PL, Lamela, Lo Celso and Ndombele have serious fitness issues.

I simply cannot believe that Lamela is still at the club. It's a joke. Nice guy and all that, but what's the point of keeping a guy that breaks down every couple of games. And last night was typical Ndombele; blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes. He just cannot handle the physicality of the PL and teams know this. Hit him hard in the first five minutes and the body language goes down hill.

Who’s our next manager?

If it’s not the game plan to go a goal up and shut up shop, then the players are consistently not listening. Either way, it’s a problem
Jose has stated that the players are not killing the game off. It’s not his fault but he’s the one who played three defensive midfielders. It’s him who took off our most creative midfielder. It’s him who made such a late substitution. It’s him who never brought on any of Bale, Moura or Dele when we really needed the winning goal.

You mean the one that just stopped running...again?

Well there is a solution. Don’t play them.

100% - or how about dont play them ALL in the SAME game - and/or worse, decide to leave all the creative attackers on the bench in the SAME game, and then proceed to sit on your arse all game when you can visbility see momentum shifting in the favour of the oppositiion. Its so simple. Isn't Jose supposed to be a "world class" manager?!
