Japhet Tanganga is back for his second start of the season, having lined up against Chelsea in the League Cup back in September. Matt Doherty returns after testing positive for coronavirus on 11 November, and he's joined by Dele, Carlos Vinicius, Joe Hart and Harry Winks in the starting XI. Ben Davies captains the team and Academy striker Dane Scarlett is on the bench in the first time in a competitive fixture after scoring four goals for our Under-18s against Southampton on Saturday.

TEAM FORM: Spurs = LWWWW ----- Ludogorets = WLWLW =====(All competitions)

We, fresh from going top of the Premier League with our 2-0 victory over Manchester City, return to Europa League action on Thursday with a home fixture against Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad. Goals from Son and Lo Celso saw off City on Saturday, though the midweek match is another of paramount importance with three teams tied on six points at the halfway stage in Group J. The visitors, who are yet to pick up a point in Europe, are top of Bulgaria's First Professional League having won eight of their 11 games so far.

Jose will likely ring the changes to the side that beat City 2-0. Sanchez should come into central defence, with Toby expected to be sidelined for a month or so with an adductor injury. Doherty contracted coronavirus on international duty so Aurier may continue at right back, though Tanganga could feature if he gets fit in time. Elsewhere, Bale, Vinicius and Lo Celso will be pushing for starts, as will Lucas. Things are looking up for us at the moment. Our win over Man City took us to the top of the Premier League, courtesy of a run of six victories in eight games after the opening day loss to Everton. In the Europa League, we have picked up wins against Ludogorets and LASK, but a woeful performance away at Royal Antwerp ruined our record in Europe so far this season.

Ludogorets will be without forwards Higinio and Wanderson. They played with a 4-4-2 formation when the sides met earlier this month, though they could revert to a 4-3-3 system. While they've been in good form, Ludogorets had to cancel recent games against Sportist Svoge and Botev Plovdiv due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad. Ludogorets have won eight of their last ten league games, including their most recent 3-0 success against CSKA 1948 earlier this month.

We might be on a high after our recent win, but there's still plenty of work to be done in the Europa League. Three teams are tied on six points, so positive results are needed for us to qualify from Group J in top spot. We will likely be a little less fluent in attack owing to the probable changes to the starting lineup but should still have more than enough to record our third group stage win.

This will come up so here it is; rescheduling attempts can be made for a group match that can’t go ahead as planned. It can be forfeited, if rescheduling is proven impossible. If at least one goalkeeper and 12 players can compete, the match must be played.

Rescheduling? When the would they reschedule it for? The tuesday before another group match? The stupidity of contintenal football & international football this season is astounding.

If 13 players (including a keeper) on their EL squad list are available it has to go ahead, if not then we start talking about rescheduling and them potentially forfeiting.

Perfect game for Vinicius to get off the mark. That is the thing I hope for most to happen apart from a win, obviously.

Finnish isn’t a Scandinavian language.
This is poor class of me because I know it doesn’t matter, but to every Scandinavian I know it does matter. And so I’m not being pedantic, they are.

Finnish is actually related to Hungarian (I worked with a Finn)!

@bushy28 it does not bother me, but I am curious as to why you dislike the opening post in that it is mostly facts over my personal opinion.

[Edit] I wont hold my breath as I have just checked and you have been a member since 2005 and yet to post anything!!

Maybe that person doesn't like comparing Sherwood to Picasso and Mourinho to Monet?
